Either:

1. You are too brilliant for me to follow
2. I’m too drunk
3. You are not explaining yourself
🤷🏻‍♂️
My guess? A combination of the three

Not sure what you mean, but it sounds interesting.

I’m quite familiar with fractals. It’s not clear how that manifests itself in a presentation structure.

Well what I mean is structuring your presentation narrative in a recursive way so that a subject or conclusion is contained within another subject or conclusion. Picture for reference:

Just read a bit on Yorke’s theories. It’s interesting and could be useful in some cases, it I’m not sure it helps drive your flow and structure. Most of us have been conditioned to hear the bid idea quickly, get supporting arguments, and then implications. I could see how referencing similar sets in that structure could be helpful.

But most of our communications are inductive and don’t follow a linear story form. The Sierpiński triangle is sort of like a Mento pyramid, but expect a MECE flag in your deck reviews.

Maybe I’m not being creative enough, tho.

I often use Minto’s pyramid principle when structuring a ppt report if that’s what you’re refering to

Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

I left gecio and went to liberty mutual, but I’m not liking their way of evaluating claims. They rely heavily on Mitchell which is a pricing tool and their reductions are excessive. I’m thinking of switching back to Geico and was wondering if anyone has gone back to their previous carrier. I used to be a lit adjuster at gecio and now only handling soft tissue claims, which is extremely boring. I’m gonna be going through liberty’s litigation training at the end of June.

Side hustle or startup ideas for someone who isn’t technical/doesn’t code? Where should I look or where to begin? I don’t have any strong passions or specific skills that I’m confident in. What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.

Fishes, how has your life changed post acquisition? Better or worse? Pros and cons??

Just refinanced my student loans at 3.89% fixed 10 years. Around 90k in loans. Is that a good percentage? Not in a rush to pay it off due to investments paying out more than 3.89%.
