Does anyone else use "baby talk" with their significant other? Looking back it I sorta cringe at the idea of it...

@booz1, the fake tits made her a 10? It didn't detract from the score? I'd love if you elaborated

like

Had a girlfriend who was a 10, fake tits and all. Broke it off because she would baby talk to me.

like

Oh I only do it on FaceTime and in private. I'd never do it in front of my friends

like

Fuck no

like

Not technically baby talk, but my time is different and a little higher pitched!

like

Vom. My boyfriend's roommate and then-gf did it ALL the time. I wasn't sad when they broke up

like

EY1 I definitely baby talk 🐶. That's just good sense. Not people though. That's weird. Unless they're actual babies.

Talking

like

Mine does, and it makes me cringe

like

No, god no.

like

No. As a woman, if a guy does that with me (or my dog), he's on the watch list.

like

@AT1 she was probably a 9 without them, they bumped her up to a 10 in my mind. They weren't over the top like most though, a cool C cup. Hard to tell they were fake if you didn't know and weren't squeezing them.

like

Not exactly baby talk but my ex and I used to kind of talk like kids sometimes ("nah uh", etc) and I really miss it.

like

Funny how there are more exes in this lot than current #consulting

like

Yup! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I know it's weird but it's a thing for us and I wouldn't change it for anything. Also NEVER on front of anyone else. I did slip and call him a pet name in front of his sister once and we all laughed about it. So awkward.

D1 apparently got reported :D

My ex used to baby talk with his ex. Stopped when we were dating. I kinda wish he never ever did that...

Baby talk is used to create false intimacy. Could make you reconsider the substance of your relationship. Not saying don't do it but consider what you are masking.

How do you divide your time between your kids? My second is an extra needy and demanding, high spirited kid. My first is laidback and easy going. I always feel like the eldest gets the short end of the stick and never gets enough of my attention even tho she’s always been more attached to me than my husband. She never gets one-on-one time with me as it is since her sister (now 2) is still super glued to my side. Any suggestions for juggling this? Or to ease the mom guilt?

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?

My husband has a strong sense of duty towards his parents - I’ve been very encouraging of it - making sure he has the freedom to be there for his family and parents in whatever way they need or want (e.g. sleeping over at his parents at least 2 nights, attending family events, making sure he goes to all their doc appts, maintaining a relationship with his sisters and their children, etc). His family and I are not from similar backgrounds so we have our struggles so I keep a distance (more below)

10 weeks pregnant with twins. Starting testing on Friday with my obgyn then fetal specialist end of the month. Does anyone have any experience with twins, testing, tough decisions, and being over 35. Im freaking out over twins as I’m 36 and did fertility treatment to get pregnant. I didn’t think it would work and boom, first try, timed intercouse with meds, two babies. I’m a very small person and nervous about the health of both babies as well as my own. Any advice or experience here?

How did you find a doula? In a city that I’m not connected to new moms. Peanut users all seem to be non responsive. First time being pregnant..

2012 accord, 53k miles or new vehicle? Currently have a 2nd child on the way and wife has a compact suv so I was looking around potentially. Given my daily drive is under 10 miles round trip if I am going to the office I am starting to think I don’t need a new vehicle and can get by. I have looked at cars and it looks like 50k-60k (Acura mdx) I would pay cash and money is not an issue. Pros and cons of a new vehicle. For what it is worth I love the accord, fun to drive and no issues ever.
