I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?
Exercise has always helped my depression but I’ve been sick and gotten out of routine. Tips on how to get back into it?

Ill say it again, we should start considerin splitting the Union. There is a minority of the US who wants a mad man in charge. There is very little reason for the majority to abide by this.
Junior working with ex v5 senior in M&A. He consistently asks me to turn major deliverables at the worst hours, think 10 pm Friday/Sat/Sun night “tonight” or “by tomorrow morning” even when there is no closing date in sight. When I push back he says my behavior is unacceptable. The times when I have been able to actually meet his expectations and give him the deliverable for review, he will get back to me with comments at least a week later. Sick of these false deadlines. Help
Does it make sense to open a HSA if I'm going to leave the country in 3 years and don't fall sick often?
Dark lip hair…any long term solutions? Tried laser but it did nothing (might have actually made it worse). Sick of bleaching or using depilatory creams. Open to any ideas!
Currently I am serving notice period. My manager is asking me to apply one sick leave every week. He said it doesn’t matter in TCS. Is there any possibility that HR may create an issue later regarding this or in any way affect my LWD?
I’m in a bit of a sticky situation and would be grateful for your advice, I recently started a job through an msp/rpo I signed a contract with them to be perm, after I joined I found out I would not be getting company sick pay, I’m looking for another job but wanted to get some perspective, I’m based in the Uk. I am on track to FI/RE in 9 years at age 42. But I am burnt out. Considering stepping away for 6 months to a year to do something cool, but don't want to fuck up fi/re. Help me see the forest through the trees? I've been a delayed gratification kind of person my whole life. Sick of waiting.
As tough as it is to be a lawyer sometimes, I don’t think I could be in a profession where you didn’t feel like you were going to battle with your coworkers. Are we ill?
Struggling with anxiety...anyone gone to a medical professional for this? Do you just go to a primary care doc first and then get a referral?
How much do y’all keep in emergency savings? What does that account for? I am currently at home with zero expenses but want to keep some cash. Does having to pay a big medical fall into this account?
How would you go about offering a Thank You to the airlines, the crew and the Samaritan onboard who helped the elderly parents in medical need? To make sure it gets through to them and makes their day
Friend was walking and got hit by a car in a cross walk in NYC. She’s having trouble with the drivers insurance paying medical bills. Any NYC personal injury attorney recommendations?
What website host do you guys use? Sick and tired of Squarespace. I want something nice, simple, and easy to customize.
Any firms have policies on medical marijuana?
As a general rule, how bad is it to test out the waters by applying to a job, getting the offer, and then rejecting it -“now’s not the right time” - while staying at your current company? Blacklisted?
Average M&A Tax salary at the Manager, Senior Manager and MD levels? Tough to piece the information together from Glassdoor/search results that’s M&A specific.
Anyone else completely mail it in after giving their 2 weeks? Major senioritis for me rn. Probably had 2 billable hours today. Maybe
If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB? Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?
I want to work for a non profit, but keep my consulting salary. I find the work I do there far more fulfilling than the work I do at client sites.
Is anybody going through a L1 processing now? Had transferred out of US to APAC for 2 years for a project and my US Partners reached out to me recently with an offer (and they confirmed that my offer still holds good during these crazy times). I am considering it, but wanted to check the pros / cons of going the L1 route now (slower processing, larger rejection rate etc)
Hi Everyone, I have a offer from CTS and I accepted it and resigned from my current organization. I have 2.4 YOE, and my CTC is 9.6. Now I got 2-3 another offer from different organization upto 11 LPA. Should I go to CTS to revise the CTC, is it possible? I really want to join CTS. If yes, should I do it now or wait for more time. It has been only 2 weeks since I got offer letter from CTS. Also few other offers are in pipeline. TIA.
ATT just put a $100 collection on my credit report. Score went down 50 points. How can I fight this off. I do not owe them!!
This may be a long shot but I’m interested in a role at Vox Media Chicago, anyone know a recruiter I can reach out to?
My PMD was talking to a PE client with the respect as if he/she was a CEO. I later googled the client and turns out he's a 2nd yr PE VP out of HBS and is a year younger than me. I feel like shit. :(
FDD PWC recruiter told me the salary for SA was 110-115... Is this normal? It sounds a bit low.
Advice from marathon runners please: I’m signed up to run a full marathon in 5 weeks. I ran 15 miles yesterday. I pushed through but reeeally didn’t want to think about the fact that the marathon is 11 more miles. I plan to do 18 miles in 2 weeks. I only did 8 miles before my first half and actually ran a lot faster than my training pace. Am I going to survive? Any last minute tips?!
I’m looking for advice. I’m with a company that will be going through an exit soon-ish. It’ll be big. I have a fair amount of equity and I’m fully vested. But I’m so burned out from the pace and the stress of getting us across this finish line. Has anyone left a job before getting through the transaction? I know there could be a bonus at the time of the transaction or benefits of staying after the transaction, but I am not doing my best work and I want to be motivated and inspired again. Cont’d:
Of the conservative moral panics, I feel like cancel culture was more interesting than CRT. Cancel culture at least offered a variety of thing to talk about.
