Does anyone feel like what you wear to work has an impact on how you're treated? I'm trying to decide if my supervisor is a creep or if these are coincidences.

I had a boss who was seriously inappropriate about the way I dressed when I got hired. Thankfully I reported him to HR and he got fired. Sometimes the best thing can be just to ignore them unfortunatley.

That was bloody interesting 🤔

I feel like it doesn’t for me. I work in a messy lab setting so everyone is expected to wear old/cheap jeans or pants and close-toed shoes.

Hmm I don't think I have ever really noticed. I dress pretty much the same every day though so I don't know if I would have noticed anyhow. THe environment is so lax and we don't really have a dresscode.

Men can be creepy regardless of what you do or wear. I rarely use make up, my hair is always messy, I know for sure I don't dress provocatively although this can be subjective sometimes. And I still get looks and remarks. You should do what feels good for you. I hope this helps

Does anyone here use Gympass? My company just partnered with them and I’m wondering what the experience is like and if anyone would recommend.

I’ve been using mostly Classpass for the past few years, but it would be nice to have both studio and gym access if it’s as easy to use as they say it is. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Fish,

I have finally had it with all my job application rejections and am strategizing to get more experience. My only work experience has been working at a hospital admitting patients and I think it would be a good idea to volunteer to design websites for anyone needing it. Do you know of any organizations or companies in need of volunteers? I know CSS, HTML, JavaScript, WordPress, Adobe Premiere/Photoshop and am willing to learn any technology for an opportunity to help out.

Can someone legitimately explain to why bankers take so long to come up with LBO models on the financing side, and refuse to allow us to review them in detail? We provide preliminary feasibility analysis on loans on so many deals and the difference of what the bank comes up with is always minimal, but always takes a month? Can anyone walk me through what happens on the other side? It tends to be very frustrating.

Is it a red flag as a candidate to ask if a company offers maternity leave? I was recently laid off, so I wasn't expecting to lose my job. We're planning on trying for a baby in the next year or so, so it's really important to me that my next job offers paid maternity leave.

The issue is that it's so rarely advertised on company web sites, but ultimately better maternity leave would sway my decision for a job. Is there a way to ask this tactfully? Or without raising red flags?

We had an important project stakeholders meeting for which I prepared a presentation, delivered the presentation and answered some difficult questions in the Q&A. I ensured a few of the stakeholders that I'd follow up with some interesting links.
I prepared an email to follow up which was a collation of links, white papers in attachment etc which took the morning to put together. My colleague, who is a male who had initially set up the meeting and chaired it was to send the minutes after. (1)
