Yes. Depending on where you are, it’s easier to fire a partner than staff legally.
Only if they don’t meet business plan right
I can name twice as many partners & MDs let go for poor performance than I can in other ranks combined.

Some partners are always separated for poor performance.
Learned a lot from this. Always thought once you made partner it was virtually impossible to fire or otherwise exit you. Sounds like that isn't the case if you miss your metrics.

Perhaps it was tough to fire partners back in the day, but now, woe be unto him who has two bad years.
I’m a new lateral partner, so I don’t have numbers to make yet... assuming this craziness doesn’t stretch out for years I assume I’ll be ok in the near term.
You’re good for next year. But you’d better hope you can still build a pipeline for next year....
