Does anyone feel their firm has great maternity benefits/work life balance? I am 29, junior level, have a toddler, 8 weeks pregnant, and love my job but I feel the need to prove myself constantly.

Yes! All of the big4 have great maternity benefits but ultimately it will be up to you to set boundaries wherever you are. If you are a high performer, your firm should find a way to make whatever it is that you need work. I’ve seen lots of good examples of this at EY

Congrats! But sorry you’re not feeling supported. Are you in healthcare? I’d talk with your coach about your concerns (obviously whenever you’re comfortable sharing the news). There are some very supportive working moms at Huron who have helped to pave a path but it’s definitely still a work in progress.

Also please put concerns about maternity benefits in engagement surveys and such. There’s a group of us pushing for better benefits and it helps the more people are vocal about the need for better leave.

Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. I am a Product Owner with 6 yoe and a mother of newly born. My current package is 12lpa and average 11-12 hrs working with work from office for 7-8 hrs, remaining calls/work from home. In such scenario taking care of the baby has become very challenging.

I have a Rollover and SEP IRA alongside my current 401k.

My Roth account has the lowest balance because historically I've taken the tax deduction for pre tax contributions to the SEP and Rollover.

I understand if I contribute the money to Rollover and then backdoor to Roth, I will pay tax pro-rata based on the contribution percentage of total Rollover/SEP account balance (majority tax on funds that have grown).

Q: Can I open another traditional IRA solely for the purpose of the backdoor?

I got promoted on 1st September and I resigned on 5th September in Accenture. My Workday profile has been updated but Allsec still not updated. Will I get my updated salary or the old one?

February I have been on my job 28 years. The owners up and sold the business without a notice. I am salary and have always received my salary on vacation week plus vacation pay. New owners said that’s the stupidest thing they ever heard and it will no longer be received. I’m exhausted giving a job this many years and feeling I now have to start all over. How do you assure yourself that your baby (7 months) is crying at night for reasons that can be helped by sleepy training and not pain or illness? My daughter cries bloody murder, like she’s in horrible pain or something, several times a night. I have never dealt with so much drama in my life since we asked family that wants to help care for the baby right away (who want to hold and kiss them) to be up to date on vaccines per guidance from 5 different doctors.
