Does anyone has the newest insight of how long the virus can last on different surfaces? I used this which is one of the only few that tells you about different surfaces. But this implies that for example your grocery bags and food packaging is not “100% safe or coronavirus free until after 3 days, and touching those surfaces could cross contaminate other things in your house, ultimately making people more likely to get the virus into their bodies. What’s your take on this?

Please help. My husband works in construction and has been for 20+ years. Anybody scared that COVID is going the same route as HIV. I know they are fundamentally different, but if we don’t manage to get herd immunity(by vaccines or eradication) it’s going to be something that is ever present for the next 10-20-30 years. Always a threat, but we find ways to mitigate by either wearing masks always, or quarantine any time you get tested positive.
