Hi! My friend works as a recruiter for a recruiting agency, and he told me the company will let recruiters “pay debt”. So each month that you don’t close any deal, you get paid for your base salary, then you are also on debt. Once you close a deal for example 3 months later, then you have to pay your salary back for those 3 months that you did not close any deal. And also the Inmail fee on LinkedIn will be deducted from the commission too. Is this normal in recruiting agencies?

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Guesses as to what happens to remote hires when offices life comes back? Not talking the local WFH crowd, but full-time COVID hires that live elsewhere.

1) allowed to stay remote ad infinitum
2) option to relocate to the office, but not required
3) slowly phased out for local talent

Obviously if you have ladder-climbing ambitions you'll need to be in the office to play that game, but it gets more interesting for the work-to-live crowd.

Looking for a treadmill for a standing desk. But also want one that I can run on. I would like walking distances to go up to 4-4.5 and running up to 8-9 mph. Would be great to have one of those that the rail and be moved and the treadmill placed under the desk for walking. Incline would be great. US: I am married for 12+ years,. I have a feeling that my consulting career has more excitement than my marriage. With personal life lot has happened.. breakups in earlier stages, patch up, her career is ok but she is not that ambitious so kind of fully dependent.. no kids due to some issues.. but we hve been there for each other, we love each other but it’s not anymore exciting but that’s why I don’t care about WLB. Is there something wrong ? or all marriages after 10 years are same?
