Thank you in advance.
Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

There are a few types of plans - I run a semi-annual process with my team to think about career aspirations, and what is needed to achieve them. Template goes as follows:
- Medium-term (2-5 year) career goal: Nothing magic about this timeframe, but it's long enough that it frees us up to think big, but short enough that it still feels tangible
- Key motivators: Understanding that motivations are deeply personal, and 'success' means something different for each of us, we try to spend time discussing the intangibles in someone's job that keep them happy / engaged. For some folks this is about leadership visibility, for others it's cross-functional relationships, for others it's ability to see their impact in the numbers. This is especially helpful for building trust / understanding with their manager.
- Strengths: What are the top 2-3 skills / attributes that position the person well to achieve their medium-term career goal?
- Development opportunities: What are the 2-3 things that this person need to focus / skills they need to build in order to achieve their career goal?
- Development plans: I ask each person to select concrete goals for the next 6 months that will move them towards their career aspiration. This is typically a mix of building on strengths and addressing development opportunities.
Hope this helps!!
Wow, this is super interesting...I may actually try this one out. I like the idea of doing medium term stuff and then maybe scaling up to long terms. I have lots of ideas and plans, but I can't always seem to articulate them well so maybe using your structure will help. Not OP but thank you!!!!
That's a bit broad. Is there a specific direction you're looking to go in, or future goals you'd like to work toward?
There are so many different free templates that you can download online, definitely look around. I think it’s important to have one with short, medium, and long term goals. When I set big future goals I get overwhelmed and they feel impossible to work on. Breaking everything down makes the whole process way more effective for me.
