Does anyone have a good way of making modified virtual assignments? Ideally a drag and drop type sorting activity would be great. None of the platforms were using have anything like that built in.

Boom cards are mostly drag and drop.

You can also make google slides drag and drop.

I'll check those out- thanks!

I use google slides you can find YouTube videos on it it requires a few steps but once you get the hang of it it’s ok

You can make drag and drop on PowerPoint if you don’t use Google Slides

Google slides are great

I think so, but not sure

Hi! Does anyone know where can I find cool off periods for various companies? I am looking for Dropbox at the moment.

How would you leverage an existing rsu grant of a company that recently IPO-ed when negotiating a new grant in a new place (Series B tech firm).

Assume I have a grant worth of 300 that vests quarterly for the next 18months (in a current place that is already publicly traded)

Would kind of offer grant would you expect from high conviction Series B tech company if you wanted to switch? Would you be good with 1:1 match? would you be ok to get less because potential upside is higher?

Hi all! My company just laid off 5% of the workforce. I was safe but I am looking for new roles. I’m in final interviews for a company but worried about making moves because of the impending recession.. what are your thoughts? Make the move or stay put?

Which function in tech has the best earning and impactful work?

Planning to exit to tech, and I know product managers probably make the most $ but I find their jobs seem to be too much in the weeds. Can be demotivated especially when you just start and work on product with small scale and niche audience. Am I wrong here?

What are some other functions to consider with good $ and impact?
- Strategy & Operations
- Product marketing
- Business development?

What are the typical exits for post MBA strategy consultants (think tier 2 e.g., Parthenon, LEK)? Do they typically get a pay cut? I currently earn 90k base but have been getting recruiter calls for 70-80k (all insisting that salary will be lower outside consulting)

Hang in there ✊🏽

Hi folks, I’m a year one senior at EY.

I struggle badly with public speaking and sometimes, things as simple as providing a status update gives me severe anxiety.

Can a law firm in CA rescind an offer if background check reveals an omitted employment history? Worked at a firm for 2-3 months back in 2019 that wasn’t a good fit. Not fired but left to really drive my career in a better direction. I now have an offer from a great firm and scared background check will affect my chances.

How do you start doing tax returns on the side? I am a CPA, but work in industry. I’d like to get a handful of clients and start doing returns for a side gig - do I need to form /license a tax preparation business? I need to do some research for my state specifically but just generally trying to get an idea of what is involved. Also what’s the best software to use if I am just doing a handful of individuals and small businesses?

Any design strategist / facilitators that freelance or consult on the side? I would love to learn what you offer and how you do it.

Hey All

I joined Cognizant in June 2021. And I received a variable pay for 190 days (Till Dec 2021). I plan to leave in April and will be leaving the company by June. Will I get the remaining days of variable pay?

Does anyone have experience with related service providers wanting to discontinue services because the student is no longer making progress? In my eyes this is absolutely not a good reason! What are your thoughts? I’m mainly talking about OT and PT services for kids older than 3rd grade. Is there something I’m missing? I would never discontinue a reading program because a student isn’t making progress - I would work my butt off to find a solution. Is it different with OT and PT?

Can anyone tell me what’s the fastest way or the steps needed for a special education teacher to move up to LTSE?

Is anyone else who works in SPED dealing with students who are coming to school sneezing + coughing, cannot consistently keep masks on, and don’t understand social distancing? I absolutely used to love what I do but I’m feeling extremely anxious about guidelines not being followed within these groups. I am high risk and so are my family members. I don’t know what else to do and it might be time for me to go, but I would miss my students so much. I’m feeling stuck! Please tell me I’m not alone?

Looking for advice on a situation where a new teacher used IEP and ETR data directly (copied and pasted literally word for word) from a previous IEP/ETR directly to her IEP without adding present level data. She went so far as to keep many of the same goals from the previous year that the student mastered as well.

This was all after the IEP fell out of compliance and was a month overdue. I feel like the district and family should be aware.

I am looking to find out what your school does with this type of situation. I have an 18 year old student who should have graduated in 2020, but at this time only has a third of the required graduation credits for my public high school. This student has been an EBD student since 1st grade, has an IQ of 96 and has diagnoses of ADHD and Mood Disorder. This post continues on the first comment due to a character limit in this section.

Just curious: Does anyone know of a special education teacher who has gotten Teacher of the Year for their school or district?

Would anyone be interested in participating in a research study? The only requirements are to be a school district employee and have a child in the district with special needs. Please help!!!

I’m seeking creative ideas to teach ELA and math to a non verbal student with autism in middle school that also is not fond of using a pencil. We just started using a communication app with him this year. I’m looking for suggestions for maybe apps or manipulative games that will be engaging. His receptive language is high he just lacks verbal communication. I’m also interested in promethean board activities. We use News 2 You/Unique Learning system and they are great. I’m just wanting variety.
