I want to start looking at other opportunities, but I’m worried my background is going to look too jumpy. Does anyone know what employers check on a background check? Like if I got a speeding ticket will that show up, lol

Why do companies exploit their staff by giving you the workload of 2-3 people, wait for you to burn out or resign then try and counter offer you or offer to provide additional support, when you’ve asked for it so many times in the past? Is it because they want to see how long they can get away with it, or is it you’re seen as cheap and efficient resource and they can take advantage? If you value someone why wouldn’t you give them the tools to do their jobs??

I'm super curious - I see a lot of roles open for tech recruiting and the consensus seems to be that yes the salaries/comp potential is much higher but - has anyone made the move to tech recruiting and been burnt out by the difficulty? Or is it as difficult as any other niche recruiting sector?

How do you deal with assessments and lengthy interview process combined with low applicant pools combined with candidate market/drop off? Is it much more of a headache or totally worth the move?
