There are a couple of ways to go at this. There is absolutely the standpoint that one person excluded is enough to warrant addressing digital accessibility barriers. Giving some examples that feel more personal can help here. There is also the perspective that accessible design principles make the user experience better for everyone. Including assistive tech users and people living with disabilities in your team and discussions with stakeholders and clients is definitely transformative. A live demo from a user to demonstrate the impact of sloppy development efforts speaks a thousand words . If you can’t do it live have someone make a recording to help you illustrate why people need to do better .

I am noticing that McKinsey is increasingly recruiting at non-elite schools (very roughly speaking not top 15 schools). At my old undergrad, 5 years ago the most competitive firm to show up was EY. This year McKinsey took 4 non-internship full hires. Why is McKinsey going “down market” for recruiting? Are elite school kids losing interest in consulting so McK has to cast a wider net? Or is McK seeking a wider pool for other reasons? I advise undergrads on consulting so want to be best informed.

Promoted to Director!!! Promo class is really small this year, and I can’t help but think that while I really Fucking deserved this, I was also the only female in the class. I wouldn’t call it imposter syndrome. I worry my peers will thinks it’s a diversity promo, not a deserved one (although my team members have all been saying I deserve to be promoted).
