Does anyone have advice on moving from advertising to consulting? Seeing a lot on here that people with consulting careers are miserable, but still interested lol.
Okay-how many of y’all picked up your Sergio Hudson x Target pieces today?? What did everyone get???
Hii - been trying to network and create an LGBTQIA alliance within the ad industry. If anyone might be able to point me in the direction of alliances or movements of that sort comment plz :)

Just received a text from a team member stating two missionaries that traveled through Tokyo were in my classroom teaching (private school). Said they hired a company to deep clean tonight. Thoughts?
Next week I am joining the CPG unit of TCS. I will be working from a different location, but project based out of Hyderabad. How's the work life balance in this unit? Also, what about the push for work from office etc. Please let me know...

Coming up on one year, and want to ask for a salary increase to get up to market rate vs what I accepted back when everyone’d taken cuts. Anyone have any luck with this? Any advice?
over 40. made a transition from UX to copy. been a CW for 3 years, sup for 1. how are job prospects in NYC?
It seems like most of the conversations are from people in the US. What do European salaries in tech look like? I’m a PM with 5 YOE in e-commerce and make 70k €.
What salary can be expected in Visa, Bangalore for Technical project manager with 11 YOE? Current TC: 28
I don’t understand how people with significantly different political views can be in a serious relationship.
Y'all have to see CATS.
Tonight my wife threw water at me, called me a loser (second time this week but who’s counting) and told me she didn’t wanna be with me. All because while she was out I walked on the treadmill and “omitted” telling her that when she came home. Wasn’t trying to hide it, just didn’t think being on a treadmill for 5 min was worthy of being brought up in convo.
Am I the asshole here? I don’t think I did anything wrong and refuse to start giving my wife status updates while she’s out.
Do you dress casually to show properties?
I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?

Hello everyone , I am a recent 2021 undergraduate with a B.S in Business( major: Marketing & Entrepreneurship). I have 5 years of luxury retail management experience but I am looking kick start my career in product management. I am looking to network and find opportunities to begin my career pivot. Is there anyone who is willing to connect with me?
Not looking to pivot - just wanting some opinions. I’m currently a workforce Insights analyst & yesterday my manager sat me down and told me he is wanting me to take on short-term & long-term projections (essentially transitioning me into more of a projections analyst position). This is a good sign right? I’ve only been an analyst with them for about 4 months & projections is one of our biggest projects that falls under our grant. Maybe I’m reading too much into it - what do you think?
Hi Fishes, I just was recently offered a position at American Express as a Sales Acceleration Manager. However, I can’t seem to find a salary range for this role. I am waiting for the official letter but my hiring manager offered me $95k + 12%. I feel like they are giving me the lower end of this range as I’m going from an IC role to a leadership role with little to no experience. I can’t find the salary range anywhere. Anyone insight from someone working at American Express Banking Corp
I'm an ad agency brand strategist (with some time as a socia/digital strategist) with nearly 15 years experience, looking to go client side. I know it can be drier, but I just don't find the ad world nearly as inspiring as 10 years ago. However, I don't know how to make the jump - it seems like I need a MBA. Anyone here done it? And how did you do it?
I have been a graphic designer and front-end web developer for 20 years. (Army trained, no degree) My current job isn’t bad, but there's no path for growth, the pay is nothing special, and I'm feeling like I'm just tired of the "corporate" of things. I could easily just switch to a different company or go freelance again but lately feeling like therapy or something in psychology seems more appealing. Is this a midlife crisis? 41 seems too old to suddenly make a change that big?
What are the best techniques and methods to use when pivoting from Business Operations to HR? I am in the early career stage category too
I’m currently working as a product support specialist. Any tips on how to break into product management? I been in my current role for 3 years and have a bachelors in IT.
Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?
I'm currently in a BDR role but have been studying for my PSM and getting ready to take that test soon. Does anyone have any advice for how to pivot from sales to being a Scrum Master? It seems everyone wants a SM to have 3 to 5 plus experience to even look at your resume.
Recruiters: if a candidate said something along the lines of “I’m obsessed with this opportunity” (not verbatim but it was that energy) how would you interpret that?
I don’t feel it came off desperate like I need to get this job, but rather in a “I’m really excited about this company and role” kind of way.
Edit: they’re also aware I’m in final round interview for another position, and meets all job requirements if that adds to anything
I am trying to make a shift in to marketing, specifically in tech. I spent the last seven years in advertising pretty much doing what a standard account person does. I can’t seem to cut down my résumé to one page because every account and client or unique. How can I shorten/make it more relevant so it fits within the marketing descriptions? Desired companies to move are Google, health tech companies, or any tech companies it has of health vertical.
Anyone have advice on how to get an interview with companies you have no connections with?
How valuable is it to know SQL? Not looking to pivot careers per se, but am interested in learning SQL. Am I grossly overestimating how much that widens the bowl of job opportunities for myself?
So I have close to 15 years experience in operations/transportation management, which I’m pretty burnt out in, or at least the role I have been in for the last seven-ish years. I’m finishing my degree in operations/project management officially on January 1. Does anyone have any advice on getting companies to notice me, so I can change careers? I have already started submitting my resume to companies, have not received even a single email or phone call back.
Started looking at jobs in private accounting. I scored interviews for a Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, and Accounting Assistant. I just finished interviewing for the Staff Accountant position which feels very much like AP/AR and Bank Recs to start, similarly to the other two positions. Does the title matter? I want to be able to grow but at the same time I want to make sure I’m moving up positions in my job search so I’m exposed to harder/higher level work.
Why are salaries in marketing so much lower than consulting? Wanted to switch but this is a little demoralizing. In UK if that matters, although I think it’s the same everywhere

How does software engineering at an entry level at defense firms differ from tech like meta, google, Tesla. Do you need to have a firm understanding of data structures and algorithms at defense as you would at tech firms.

Lmao at “structured training”. Consulting is baptism by fire on pretty much every project, unless you are already familiar with the client and content
Oh great, so exactly the kind of training I already get! Lol thanks for the info
