I have an Elvie and love it. Second time mom and used a spectra the first go around. Happy to answer specific questions. Join this Facebook group!

1 week post partum with number 2. I have the Elvie and it’s a life saver. I didn’t have it with one and so wish I did. My output is about the same as my spectra, I use Elvie all day and then my spectra all night. Def worth it.

I have the elvie. Done nursing now but it was a game-changer as an exclusive pumper. Output was the same as the medela I used with baby #1 and allowed me so much more freedom.

I’m looking to purchase one too, but am scared it won’t empty me fully (and lead to ducts) or decrease supply.
Anyone able to confirm that this didn’t happen?
P.S: the spectra S1 is pretty good on both those fronts for me. Medela freestyle flex gave me the same problem!

Nope it’s much gentler feeling than the spectra. You should do fine! It’s worth the freedom !

I have the Willow and it did give me clogged ducts. Not all the time, but anytime I got one it was when I used my Willow. Definitely loved the convenience and it helped me to continue pumping as long as I did, but I didn’t see as much output as with my Medela.

I used a willow with my second baby and loved it!

I didn’t care for my elvie. I bought that one over Willow because I heard the suction was gentler. It is gentler but I got less than 50% than what I’d get with my spectra. As an exclusive pumper and a just enougher, this would really mess up my supply so I really only used it in emergencies or if I wanted extra stimulation (I’d seriously forget they were in there so that part was good).

My sales lead just gave me my quota for the year. Its increased 120% from last year. I asked if my peers experienced the same increase and the answer is No because I have more experience and up for promo this year. Our bonuses are a % of quota achieved meaning it’s harder for me to get a bonus. Do you think this is fair? What would you do? For additional context, I crushed my quota last year but I feel like I’m being punished now.

Hi Moms. I’m 4.5mo postpartum with my first, and I’m having incredible feelings of resentment toward my husband, who I love dearly and with whom I’ve always had a great relationship. It feels like he’s not factoring me or the baby into his decisions (e.g. going on a 4d boys trip, attending big events), while I’m left with the consequences. My mat leave is ending, and he’s now sick with COVID. He’s quarantining at my in-laws while I return to work and take care of baby. I’m so frustrated… (cont.)

My son’s first birthday is coming up and my parents want to gift him $1k in a separate account under his name for him to use in the future. My husband and I make about $250 combined so but paying off student loans and a mortgage so don’t have much in assets. My parents only make $50-70k a year. We’re all pretty clueless about money. What would be the best way to invest in his future?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!
