Does anyone have an iRobot Roomba? Pros/cons, recommendations? What model do you have - there are a ton of options? Not looking to spend a fortune, but would love a daily sweep of our hardwood floors in kitchen/dining room/entry way. My main concern is it’s ability to get around table/chair legs. We have 2 tables with 10 total chairs, and 4 bar stools at our island, which is where most of the crumbs end up! Thanks in advance!

We have a Eufy robot vacuum. Pretty quiet, I can work around it. Ok around legs but I tend to pull chairs out so it can get fully under. Quite affordable!

Yes, two. Buy one that has the rubber brushes, not bristles, if you have pets or anyone with long hair in your home.

We had a roomba for years and just upgraded to the Shark with the base that self-empties. We like it a lot more, it seems a little smarter and does a consistently great job. It also has slightly lower clearance which is nice.

We have a i7+
It does great for pet hair, but not very useful for the situation you described.
We have hardwood floors, kitchen island with 4 chairs, dining room with 6 seater set. The Roomba takes forever to navigate those legs. Not the most efficient solution. We ended up removing those areas from the cleaning zone and use a regular vacuum there.

An alternative is moving all those chairs away, then starting the cleaning cycle in those specific zones, but that's just added work.

You'll do better with buying a handheld vacuum instead for quick cleaning around the reading areas.

Is it okay that I’ve been a slow junior as we’re hours away from closing? I’m trying to be proactive and available to cross things off the list but I’m SLOW: takes me long enough that they do it themselves (even though this wasn’t an issue earlier in the deal) and even on quick tasks or emails, they respond to it before I can click send. There’s also so much about closing that I don’t understand and I feel like I’m bothering the higher-ups on the team whenever I ask. *end anxiety post*

Always been a fan of FIRE and reading about it has definitely helped my finances but I can’t help but wonder if the movement is more about lifestyle change than early retirement.

After you achieve FI,you basically have to maintain the lifestyle that got you there.

What if you want to go on a lavish vacation or buy that flatscreen TV? Are you supposed to do away with material goods entirely? I suppose you could keep working for discretionary $ and live off interest but then you’re not retired.

These brownies are the best of both worlds! A chewy fudge interior like mochi, crispy edges and shiny top like brownies. Unlike traditional brownies, they are surprisingly less dense and light. Not too sweet which is the way I like it.

Not sure what the best path forward is but just got out of a week of in person meetings- did not want to go but was told that it would be a bad look to not go (I operate somewhat outside of my business group) by my mgr and mgr said it was important for us to meet for us to feel more comfortable working together. I then go and mgr avoids me the entire time (after requests to meet and level set on priorities). Do I address head on? It felt physically uncomfortable to be around this person.
