Anyone with India employment knowledge/experience? Looking for insight into the following: - How common is life insurance as an employer provided benefit and has anyone tried to get quotes on this recently? I’m being told by our broker it’s impossible to get anyone to quote on this now because of COVID but I don’t have a very high opinion of the broker… -contract recruiters in India. I’m looking for multiple contract recruiters (English speaking). Any leads??

Those of you who have went from having no car to having a car in the city...do you have any regrets? Even before Covid, I’ve often felt so “stuck” without a car, but I‘ve always been too cheap to seriously consider it. (Should mention that I don’t travel much for work, so that might make a difference in answers in the bowl.) Is it life changing!?

Do any other women go batshit crazy when you have a new potential love interest? I.e. extensive social media research, turning it over and over in your head to gauge various scenarios, over analyzing compatibility from their traits and various scenarios? I can chalk some of it up to COVID boredom since I wasn’t this crazy when I had stuff to do, but some overthinking has always been there.

Hey friends. How much have people cut their rates w/ the pandemic? I have a gig through a staffing firm at $80/hr. Pre COVID was at $112/hr or $900 day. Trying to get them to bring it back up because I’m not even working 40 hrs & w/ taxes as barely making above unemployment. How much should I push them? What rates are people seeing for senior strat / associate director?

Really low (day 1 of my periods) andI’ve been stressing today on things that are outside my control. Have my birthday coming up, and i’ll be 35 soon. No bf, no man, no marriage in sight. The clock is ticking, more so as i have large uterine fibroids, so not just my parents, even my gynec wants me to hurry up. Have been alone cooped up at home for more than a year now with no end in sight thanks to COVID. Dating is bust too. So all in all really lonely. Any words of encouragement?

Can someone explain how so many people have competing offers for negotiation? I keep hearing “don’t expect to have a strong case for negotiation unless you have a competing offer”. Wouldn’t that have to line up perfectly with you interviewing for multiple roles at the same time?? I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
