Does anyone have any experience with NJ mini-COBRA for small businesses? Trying to find an answer to a few questions and coming up empty: (1) what are the penalties for failure to send continuation notice (federal COBRA is $100/day, but don’t see anything in NJ statute or case law); (2) if an employee is terminated for cause are they eligible and must they receive the continuation notice? What constitutes cause (as opposed to gross misconduct under Federal standard)?

Anybody out here know of any “development programs” for mid career professionals looking to transition to sales? Have a data/analytics b/g., but I’m much more social than a “typical” data/analytics person. We have a program at my company that I’m networking to get into, but believe it’s prudent to diversify options, as there is obviously no guarantee that they select me for the program.

Getting emails from management and I can tell that I’m going to be put on a PIP or at least have it suggested.

Is law school performance any indication of how good of an attorney you can be? I work at a boutique firm, and I get intimidated when Biglaw opposing counsel graduated at the top of their class...

I started my law career in house where I spent two years and just moved to an actual firm about a month ago. How long does it typically take to ramp people up? Getting kind of worried about hitting my billable requirement.
