Does anyone have any experience/advice on how to better collaboration between HRBPs and Recruiting teams? Does it make sense to appoint a person to be a liaison and bridge any gaps? If so, what are some examples?

Break your HRBP and recruiter department assignments to match so they work collaboratively together and with their assigned business functions.

like

Thank you. This is a great idea for when we are to break up the teams by functions.

like

I think it does. we work across all functions and it does help. We have someone who's kinda the in between and made the process smoother

like

Thank you. What’s they’re title and some of their main responsibilities?

I’m an HRBP. I interview all candidates that will be managing people. I also am present for orientation and do the employees 30 day check in. And advise if tough hiring decision. Especially between internal and external candidates

like

HRBPs and TA are required to collaborate and work together at our organization, those groups rely on each other.

like

Mapping shared goals and assigning ownerships within both would work
Alternatively,If you have manpower budget, then enrolling liason officer would surely take off the follow up and monitoring responsibilities and they would provide you with crisp measurable results

like

Weekly team meetings are necessary especially when it involves recruitment. Everyone needs to be aligned.

Appoint a liaison if you can, have weekly meetings and make sure that goals are aligned between the two. Plus, arranging a meetup outside work isn’t a bad idea either.

Kindly provide a solution.

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!
