Depends on the specific terms of your RSU grant and the overall plan. There should be some sections on terminations and forfeitures. If you’re still employed on the vest date generally the vesting shouldn’t be an issue but there may be a company call right that triggers a repurchase of the RSU upon or shortly after your termination.
You should be able to keep your RSU even after you leave the company.

it happens to be on Friday, and new job starts at the following Monday with orientation.
Usually posts at end of day right? I think it’d be a significant risk and I’m not sure there are real life examples as it’d be pretty silly to set your vesting day as your last day.
