Offer for a non-FAANG, only $5k more than what I make now but the 401k is $2 math for every $1 up to 10% of yearly salary (currently $0.25 to the dollar up to 6%), how do you gauge how good is that 401k benefit in terms total comp? Does it make up for small increase in base salary?

Applying online to a company where there are legit 10 openings that I am qualified for and interested in. I have a referral at the company as well

1) do I apply to all 10 jobs, or does that look bad? I would optimize resume for each of the jobs

2) do I use my referral for all 10? Don’t want to flood his inbox or look like I am just mass applying, or diluting his opinion so to speak.

While a ton of exit opportunities exist, H1-B transfer seems to the biggest road block (approved I-140; not looking for other consulting options; open to FAANG and healthcare industry roles) Solid Openings / roles that are appropriate for my experience have stayed away from even taking the next step given the immigration situation. Client recently offered me a job for an open req (industry eq SM). The work is flexible, the req is just to get me in the door but I decide what I want to work on (which I trust to be true). Much better culture, wlb, etc., but I’d be taking a 100k pay cut and be an IC with no team. Is it worth taking a step back in pay and responsibilities, or does it seem possible to get all in one?
