Does anyone have any location recommendations for a 7-10 day trip during July for a destination outside of the US? Considering Vietnam (pending travel restrictions) but wanted to see where else might be good to visit in July (considering weather and crowds and travel restrictions)

Im from Vietnam but would not consider going there in summer as its soooo hot 😂 We just booked a trip to Peru for July 4 week. super excited.

We are going for 7 days and will spend all our time in the Cusco/Machu Picchu/Sacred Valley area. This is best time of the year to go to Peru. I have been in contact with a tour company for private tour arrangements. Price seems to be very reasonable!

We went to Ecuador for 10 days last July and that was one of our top 3 favorite countries so far (out of 20). It was cheap and amazing. I can share detailed itinerary if you want.

That would be amazing! I will message you

Canada
Bolivia
Colombia
Argentina
Mexico (many possibilities)
Costa Rica
Guatemala
Morocco
South Korea

Travel restrictions are changing for some of these places.

You’re right, M1. I went in summer so it didn’t initially occur to me. It was crazy hot.

I love Vietnam. But I feel like 7-10 days maybe a bit short for Vietnam, consider how much time that you would spend just on travelling. Personal opinion though.

Thanks! This had crossed my mind too, if I end up going to Vietnam it would probably be worth stretching the trip to 2 weeks (if that’s enough). I probably wouldn’t be able to do more than 2 weeks of pto though.

What do you like to do?

I typically like trips that include a mix of things (city, scenic outdoors). I am looking for somewhere that I can do different activities every day like exploring cities, sight seeing, try different foods, hiking, etc. I’m not looking for something that I stay in one place the whole time and lounge/relax.
