New to Fishbowl?

Visited Oahu/Honolulu. Stay at Aulani Disney resort for a couple of days and definitely visit Polynesian culture center(book tickets in advance)
If you can afford it, and you are going to Maui (it’s not too terribly expensive), take a flying lesson while you are there. You will have a chance to fly a Cessna 172 yourself during non critical parts of the flight, and you will see parts of the island from the air that you will never see from the ground. Additionally, you will hopefully have a flight instructor that is versed on the history of the island. Also, a visit to Mamas Fish House would be a mandatory visit for lunch or dinner.
Maui is absolutely incredible. If you are traveling with adults only the Four Seasons over in Wailea is an awesome spot. Similarly, the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua is a wonderful experience, but the waves on the beach there are so much larger that it can be daunting. If you are traveling with children as well, I’d recommend the Grand Wailea as it has the location perks of the Four Seasons with more amenities suited to accommodate the whole family
Have been to Maui twice. Stayed in Fairmont in Wailea, which is excellent
Kauai, do the open door helicopter tour. In Maui do the road to Hana drive. You can choose to stay at the end of it or drive back. Shaka has an app available for a cool guide
Do multiple islands. You need to make time for Pearl Harbor and the Battleship Missouri on Oahu - so historic! I think the Big Island is pretty cool with active volcanoes too.
I’ve been to most of the Hawaiian islands and spent the most time on Kauai. Kauai is definitely going to be less touristy and more nature focused if that’s an interest. The Waimea Canyon has a ton of hiking, you can see the Na Pali coast by boat and open door helicopter, and even hike part of it on the Kalalau trail. If you do go, stay at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu - it has a beautiful coastline and trails.
