Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a career swap from finance to program management? I have 7+ years of FP&A experience, with a couple years of indirect program management. Also have my MBA in finance and undergrad in economics

I would think about how you can leverage that indirect program management into something more tangible, it would require an overhaul for your resume

Unfortunately, I don’t know of anyone who could help.

Help!!! Struggling to complete my degree. I’ve been in a teaching role at my school since the beginning of the year. I’m at nearly 90 credits of college course work complete. I’m in Texas and there aren’t many options that can get me closer to certification. Any help or advice? I don’t want to lose the role I’m in. It’s literally what I’ve been groomed to do for the past two years. (& yes I’ve been in school during that time.)

My wife is looking for a change. She has got PhD in Finance and her primary experience is teaching in a MBA college.

Which companies give preference to candidates holding PhD and which all profiles she can target?

Looking for some candid feedback from PE firms who hire strategy / market research consultants for thesis dev / DD.
I’m running a project for a small boutique consulting firm (confidential) who are looking to improve their offering to PE firms. They do work market research (TAM/etc) as well as commercial due diligence support. Questions are: 1. What’s important to you in a consultant? 2. Where is the best place to reach you? 3. How would you prefer to be approached by a services company?

Slow Roasted Tomatoes and Anchovy Buccatini: A simple dish with complex flavors. Ripe tomatoes were slow roasted and carmelized for three hours in a confit of olive oil, garlic and fresh herbs. Anchovies were melted into the sauce to bring about a deep umami flavor and topped with an obscene amount of Parmagiano-Reggiano.

Dilemma… I left my old company 4 months ago. Today, they’ve reached out to me to ask me to come back at a higher role, Operations Manager. I would’ve jumped on this opportunity if they asked me before. However, this role would be hybrid (2x in office) and come along with more responsibilities and hours than my current WFH role which is very chill. The pay is only 15% more than I currently make. Any thoughts?

I received an offer from a quant fund. My offer letter doesn’t explicitly state my role/position, it is nyc based, and that it’s full time. It also doesn’t provide benefits breakdown, just a blanket statement that I’m eligible. I’ve spoken to the recruiter about these items, but general response is that this is standard for the company. To me this is all very strange and I feel it should be defined more. Does this sound normal to others? Can’t tell if i should push on this more or leave it.
