Greetings fellow HR members, I am currently looking for my next opportunity and looking at HR business partner/ HR Generalist or Associate HR manager. I’m open to remote work and East Coast and Midwest. Thank you for your Help.
Does anyone else feel stifled from the current cancel culture and leftist views many of our peers enforce? My of my friends with similar views remove ourselves from any remotely political topic because we know there would be backlash if we were even imply we had conservative or right wing opinions. Why is it acceptable in a working environment for one side to shove their agenda down other peoples through but not acceptable to have an alternate perspective?
How to break into PE post MBA (HSW) if I have consulting (ACN) but no I-bank exp? I’m good with financial modeling, so I don’t think the technical interview would be a problem. And if I do break in, would my opportunities be limited in the future for any reason? (Ex. MBB -> I can get on partner track...can I ever hope to get on a similar track at KKR, etc. if I try to break in and join a smaller fund first?)
Did I need to get an H1B visa stamping if I’m in the US? I was on OPT and got my H1B while on it so ive been in the US since 2014, never left. It’s time to renew my H1B and the questionnaire is asking for my current visa info such as the visa number. I don’t have a visa stamp for my H1B because I was in the US. I do have one for my F1 that is obviously expired. I only have the I-747A for my H1B. Did I not get an H1B stamping when I needed to for 2+ years…?
Seeing Mckinsey winning alot of COVID related work, makes me wonder which pandemic has Mckinsey had the biggest net impact on, Covid or Opiod crisis?

Does anyone know if Deloitte covers any of the costs towards becoming a CFE for those of us on the PDM path? As in the ACFE membership cost, the cost of the study material, and/or the cost of the exam?
For Accenture employee - does this company paid you when you are the bench? Does this company has experience manager? Does this company has Up or Out system? Need certification to be a manager?

So I’m one of 2 BA’s on a project where we’re not given much responsibility by our SC( He’s acting M). He owns almost everything from USI calls, calls with the clients (he leads/doesn’t include us), and only allows us to execute testing and when I ask to support in other activities he says “it’ll be easier if I just do it.” I understand that however how are we expected to develop, learn, and get ready for our next roles? I just feel as if he’s not very good at delegating.
Boutique consulting firm vs Big 4, thinking of making the switch to get more structured support and learning... any thoughts? Attrition is rlly high at my firm and project deadlines have been delayed due to resource issues
Friend wants to go into consulting (MBB) but is not good at casing - intelligent but cannot think quickly and cracks under pressure. Would a lot of practice help if it doesn’t come naturally to him?
Any firms actively hiring for any of the following industries: Energy/utilities PMO Construction Any leads would be appreciated!
Anyone else ever feel like a completely inadequate consultant? I'm struggling with performance quality on this project because I just feel dumb and it demotivates me to really strive to improve. Possibly also impacted by burnout because I performed well on other engagements and enjoyed my teams more. Just not sure where to go from here to get where I need to be.
Wondering why the bonuses are so low? Here is the reason - 598 managers and 651 senior manager promotions in Tax. That’s the most lopsided promotion stats ever.
I was interviewing for an industry role I really liked (not my dream job but checked most boxes), let’s call this job1. The same day as my 2nd round interview for job1 a recruiter from another company I had applied to that would be an otherwise solid exit (more money, better brand) reached out to set up an interview, I’ll call this job2. I told job1 at the time that I did not have a timeline and was not interviewing elsewhere. Job1 let me know about a week ago that I would be moving along (cont)
I have the opportunity to move to a small boutique data science and data engineering consulting firm that would pay better with less hours. However, would it stunt my growth without a big 4 tag? It has more opportunities for technical growth and certifications but will push me into a more specialized role. I am mostly worried about the trade off between staying until Manager or upper senior and cashing out then. Does anyone have insight on how the two may differ in future career opportunities?
