Pence: why couldn't you lose the election gracefully? You just had to take out LGA to send a message.
Hello. What do you think is the protocol. I worked on a concept, script for a spot for a few months but left for a new job. It got produced eventually. Obviously things changed but do I get credit?
Anyone have a positive experience with a global PEO for emerging markets? We are currently hiring employees in emerging markets as contractors and its really not effective. Looking for alternatives.
Am I an attractive candidate at all? Or is it silly to think I could jump soon for a comp increase? 1 yoe BAH fed (7 yoe in nonprofit sector before that), currently at 90k. Have some generalist certifications (agile, prosci, working on instructional design). Non-technical, no master’s. Resume is mostly attractive bc of extensive international/cross-cultural experience & DoS experience. Am I still too “meh” with only 1yoe & no tech skills?

Recommendations on best bars/clubs/restaurants/day time activities in Chicago? Trying to take advantage of finally having a good client city
Hey, I’m looking at applying for solution engineering roles at other companies (at the moment Okta) and was wondering what peoples thoughts are on the salary increase I should look to achieve. I’ve been at my current role for 3 years and have been promoted once but feel like my pay is still below the average. Currently make 130k with a 70/30 split between base pay and bonuses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Is anyone here content with just being a run-of-the-mill creative? Does there come a point where you’re not seen as valuable anymore? I’ve been in the industry for five years now and basically made nothing good or interesting (I work at a big nyc holding company owned agency). I’m already in my mid 30s so I’m getting worried that l’m getting to the point where I’ll be knocking on 40 with the book (and salary) of a 26 year-old.
Food for thought: With so many SMs and PPMDs stuck at home with kids and no help and with so many Staff, Seniors, Consultants, etc on the bench... (cont)
Hoping to relocate from the Midwest to Oregon. Family lives in Bend but we'd like to stay within 30-45 min of PDX. Recommendations for family friendly cities/neighborhoods that won't break the bank? Expensive taste with a middle class budget😆 Great public schools are a must.
Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?
I think I am so depressed that I can’t make myself to focus on work or find motivation. Even when I am given a role to show next level I just don’t find a purpose to do it. Can I take LOA on H1-b ? I think I need to take a break.
Any ladies here golf? I just bought a home in a golfing/lakeside community and now want to pickup the sport. Any deets on where to but cute golfing outfits/shoes? Tips on getting started? Planning on setting up a few lessons soon…TIA
Accenture hired me for a role that I don’t think I’m qualified for? Looking at the job req page, I only tick 1-2 of the bullets (out of 10). Important to note that I never lied or padded my experience, and have been genuine and honest throughout the interview process. I start next month. Is this imposter syndrome or an actual concern?
Tax manager role at a fintech startup. What kind of salary should one expect? Do they typically offer equity as well? And most importantly, would this be a good exit option for someone with a compliance heavy background that does not want to be a partner at B4
Currently on parental leave. As a father I’m so dang thankful my firm has it and I can’t imagine how my immigrant parents manage to raise two kids without leave.
