Does anyone have experience as a Professional Support Attorney? I noticed someone at V&E with that title and I’ve never heard of it.

Yep - also sometimes “Professional Support Lawyer”/PSL. Reasonably common, in my experience, typically providing support with developing standard forms/precedent databases, scanning for new regulations/market news, sometimes helping with pitch docs etc. Typically 100% non-billable.

At V&E, these attorneys are primarily involved in biz dev, pitches, market research, etc. No actual practice of law per se at least . Most at V&E were former associates that had children and wanted a more 9-5 job and the firm wanted to retain them.

How to become a strategy director? What needs to be developped?

Currently have a FT offer from Kearney and an intern offer from KPMG. I made it to the final round for 2 of MBB this year but was rejected from both. Should I just take the Kearney offer? Or should I do a Master's program in my specialty (Analytics and Data Science) and try for MBB next cycle? I feel like I should get an MBB offer next year considering I made it far this time and would have added a Master's to my resume. Any thoughts?

Hi all - I am looking to move into the world of brand strategy consulting (KPMG has customer consulting division but brand and marketing aren't that strong. Also KPMG UK is the only one of big 4 that has not bought an agency!!). Wanted to hear some advice on the options: go to a boutique (like Lippincott, Prophet) or brand agency? The salary cut for agency is huge though. Are there other options?

Hi mates,

Anyone you know who has moved from Operations to BA and doing well ?

If yes what are the major challenges as a BA when you have moved from Functional Team ?

If you’re a CPA, have you considered getting the CFA & switching into finance?

It appears from the time/effort/stress, you get more bang for your buck down that road. Is the grass actually greener?

How can I get better at asking “good” questions on calls? I’m a new analyst and am having trouble coming up with a decent question to ask when I’m on a call with my team... questions usually arise after the call in 1-on-1 sessions, but not really during... it’s a bad habit.

I feel that asking questions even if you already know the answer is good for optics — is this true?

My wedding is making me miserable. We ended up choosing a city / venue that I’m not super thrilled with (it’s just not giving me aesthetic I want) and it’s turning out to be 3x expensive (part of rationale for choosing as it would be cheaper). I just hate my wedding and don’t know what to do. It’s too late to switch locations (we’ve just paid too many deposits). I know it shouldn’t matter etc but I’m still upset for not going with another city. Anybody ever felt similar?
