I prefer DV for sure.
Just use the out of the box solution in DCM. I’ve seen no value from a third party.
Customer service from DV is also usually a hell of a lot better than IAS as well from my experience.
DV is significantly better. The organization at IAS is odd and account managers can’t answer basic questions as a result. The DV platform is also easier to navigate.
Both do an ok job at protecting fraud. Nothing is perfect. The UX on DV is a little cleaner IMO.
I think DV has an overall better set-up in terms of both categories and reporting. However, I think they’re a pain to work with from a customer service perspective. I don’t think they’re clear in communication and when they “train” you on the platform, they just send you videos to watch. I think IAS is much more flexible than DV and has much better customer service.
Agree on this point. In my experience IAS definitely has the better customer service and was more hands off. DV was the preferred solution for my last client and we hardly heard from them, but they had a much more robust brand safety solution.
Varies. Both do and ias have its own strengths
I strongly prefer DV, one of the big reasons being the IAS Midwest rep drove me nuts.
And worth noting for brand safety you can be much more specific with DV over IAS…DV offers about 3x as mean categories for content safety.
