Does anyone have experience with Accenture’s ARDS group?

What are your recommendations if we are interested in strategy within life sciences at Accenture?

Great question, to be honest that’s something I’m actively working on figuring out. That’s what my long term goal is, but so far I’ve been met with a lot of “continue doing delivery work until you’re manager and then we’ll talk”. I’m having some conversations with leadership this week to ask them about it, I’ll update you if I hear anything concrete!

I would appreciate that. Trying to break into strategy within life sciences and want to know how to do that at Accenture

Yep, I work within ARDS, although I think we’ve rebranded ourselves to AALSS (Accenture Applied Life Sciences Services)

What kind of projects do you all work on? Mix of strategy and implantation?

It’s a mix across the board, depending on where in AALSS you fall in. I’m in ASIS (the informatics arm of AALSS) and unfortunately I’m stuck in implementation work. If you’re not interested in implementation I would not join ASIS

Thanks for the heads up!

Hey direct message me if interested. I’m in the group and there are strong positives and some roadblocks to look out for

Late night thoughts - I cannot figure out when to throw in the towel on consulting. I just switched to a Big 4 role two weeks ago and I feel like my stress has shot up significantly. I hate traveling for work and I want a role with good WLB. I know two weeks is nothing and I feel like a failure for giving up so easily but I feel I'm just not made out for this kind of life. Should I just suck it up and stick it out for two more years for the exit opps?
