Hello, I’m looking for someone to connect with at Meta/Instagram. I’ve lost access to my instagram account, reason being that I breached “community guidelines”. I have filled out the form to appeal the restriction but it’s been 10 days since I’ve heard back. Anyone have any advice on what I can do to get access to my account back? Thanks! “Thanks for sharing the great news! I’m excited about the team and this role, however I’d like to request some additional time to completely assess my personal situation to make a fully informed decision”
Chances are they’d be willing to wait if they really want you. Or they may have other candidates in the pipeline who are equally strong, in that case they may not be as patient. It’s always a gamble where you’re betting on yourself to land a better opportunity at the risk of losing what you already have in hand.
I like this appraoch, I think it comes off as sincere and shows you value the offer etc. Hopefully it all goes well for you OP!
Definitely share with the recruiter for the “perfect role” where you’re at with other interviews so that they can accelerate the process as much as possible. This is usually something they ask about early on, so you might not even have to bring it up.
I typically apply to positions in waves. I apply to my first choice openings first, wait a few weeks and then send in applications for my second tier, and so on. The situation you described can still happen, especially when new opportunities of interest open up in the midst of your job search. I also try to schedule interviews for my top roles first, then set up other interviews for later dates, etc. All that being said, I’ve never been able to successfully time things such that I have more than one offer to consider simultaneously lol.
Let them know you're at advanced stages with others and ask for accelerated timelines for the process. It's not guaranteed since recruiters have limited control on interviewer's availability but they can always push for prompt response.
Let the others know you're considering multiple options too so as to adjust their expectations '
This is what I would do. Let them know that you value them and that you don't want to miss out on the opportunity to interview with them.
Along with being transperent, try to weigh things on an even scale. That "perfect" job is just a job at the end of the day and you don't want to give up good opportunities
Be transparent with the recruiter hiring for your “perfect role”. Try slowing things down at other places very subtly - like opting for slightly later interview slots - without jeopardising the process. Then pray for the offer timings to fall in place 😅
