I’ve really enjoyed my time at Indeed. Great WLB. Compensation may not be MAANG (whatever it is now) level, but the WLB, benefits, WFH, and pretty awesome people make it a great place to work. Total comp is still very competitive (base, quarterly bonus, RSUs, 100% 401k match up to 5%). Big focus on employee health and well-being.

How to deal with an overly paranoid family member? I've been working from my parents place for the past month and my brother recently came home for the holidays. Out of all of us, my brother is the most cautious, but to the point where he is paranoid. Like, he will wear 2 masks, doesn't see anyone, uses hand sanitizer after touching anything (like his shoelace), and doesn't use grocery store baskets (holds everything). I respect his habits and I've been pretty cautious (cont. in comments)

After reaching out to the general counsel on LinkedIn, I applied for an in-house job a month ago. I didn’t hear anything. A few days ago the general counsel reached out on LinkedIn and said she did not see my application in the mix but was hoping to and asked if I wanted to meet. I said I did apply, indicated I was interested in meeting, and asked if I could send my materials. She said yes and she would send me some times. I sent my materials and haven’t heard a thing. Any idea what is going on?

I’m currently at a medium sized tech startup. I was interviewing for a role that would be a bump in pay and title at a multinational public F50 company. At first, the hiring manager and head of legal were very complementary about my experience. Almost too much so. After a week of interviews with the team (softball-esq), I was informed that if I wanted to join, they would bring me on at a lower title. I’m not sure about comp yet. But if comp is still an increase + experience at a public..

I am currently at a firm and received an in-house offer. Aside from main items like comp and big ticket benefits like PTO/health insurance/401k, what other items do I need to think about discussing/negotiating? For example, fees to keep bar licensure, professional association fees, CLEs, etc. I feel like there is so much on that end I currently take for granted being covered at my firm. Anything else I should consider?
