My spouse worked at Adobe (public sector, sales adjacent) for a couple years and really enjoyed it. I met a lot of the then legal team members at various events and they all seemed like a good group.

Legal team seems nice. I’ve heard pay is wayyyyyyyy below market, but that may have just been the practice area I am in.

Interesting, I’ll have to report back if it’s the same for this group

I work with two attorneys who were previously at Adobe. They’ve brought up pretty good experiences overall with their past experience at Adobe in conversation.

Thanks for the insight!

I worked in EMEA in a couple of Legal groups, one supporting Sales. I loved my time there and hold all of the senior leaders I worked with high esteem. I am not sure who the reporting lines would be into, but I would recommend a career in Legal at Adobe very highly.

If you’re given a low to mid salary range with high range kept confidential and you go through the lengthy interview process, is it appropriate to negotiate more after being given an offer in the mid-range? Don’t want it to seem like I wasted everyone’s time if I “already knew” the range.

Has anyone lateraled from big law into an in-house role at one of your firm’s clients? I feel like this happens quite a lot and curious how that process went (did you reach out to them, they to you, etc)? I’m in my second year and staffed on a large client & starting to develop a relationship which I’d like to maintain. I’m thinking about hanging in here for another year or two but then starting to look to lateral. Would love to work for this company if a position is available at that time.

Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

After reaching out to the general counsel on LinkedIn, I applied for an in-house job a month ago. I didn’t hear anything. A few days ago the general counsel reached out on LinkedIn and said she did not see my application in the mix but was hoping to and asked if I wanted to meet. I said I did apply, indicated I was interested in meeting, and asked if I could send my materials. She said yes and she would send me some times. I sent my materials and haven’t heard a thing. Any idea what is going on?

If I decline the offer and stay with my firm, I can make another $50,000 payment at the end of the year. I ultimately want to be in house, preferably in tech.
