Attending Appalachian State University for athletic reasons as I played baseball here. Will finish my degree in Supply Chain Management in December. I want to break into consulting in the supply chain and operations sector in NYC. I would love to connect with anyone in Big 4 - Deloitte , KPMG, PwC, EY and MBB to get some insight on the college recruiting cycle coming up. Currently have a 3.81 GPA, family startup company experience, and restaurant industry experience.
Have 6 strong reviews across PD, training and engagement. Senior 1 with strong non big 4 experience. Odds for rating or promotion?
Does anyone work in cloud strategy? I am just about to matriculate out of ccg into cloud strategy group at Deloitte. What sort of work do they actually do? (I’ve seen previous posts but not much detail) Also, do other Big 4, ACN and MBB also have cloud strategy practices? If so, how do they compare?
I started in tax under a year ago and don’t see myself here long term. Please make me aware of other job opportunities with 50-60 hours a week max that pay same (or better) than B4. I have an undergrad Finance degree as well.

I’m seeing a lot of job req’s for Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group nationwide: does this group operate like a centralized Analytics COE to onsite strategy teams? (I.e. Consultants advise executives/leads on An analytics roadmap, and AAG come in and implement, rather than go with a Big 4 / Indian IT shop?) Thanks guys.
Anyone who never worked in big 4: what has your career path been like? Did you face a lot of obstacles by not having b4 on your resume? Are there times it’s better to never go b4?
Do you think a big 4 company would rehire a boomerang who was a “low performer” before leaving the first time?
Hi everyone, I’m a student interning at a MM CPA firm in the assurance practice. However, I’d like to transition into TAS at a big 4. I’ve had past internships in VC and HF, but am still having trouble getting past initial screening and have little to no alumni in TAS to reach out to when attempting to network. Has anyone had the same experience as me or can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.
Which areas pays more than Big 4. Techo/Functional Background. SM here. I should have known but can’t seem to find. All I can think is another Big 4 :(

How difficult would it be to exit into MBB from Big 4 financial services consulting? Obviously it’s dependent on the candidate, but is this a switch one can accomplish without going back for an MBA?

Would you rather: (1) stay in big law (V100), collect your checks, keep billing 1900+ annually, knowing you’ll likely only progress to non-equity partner but stable pipelines for work; or (2) transition to boutique firm with no billable requirements, no minimum salary, on a pure revenue split (half of collections), option for equity partner in 16 months? In this scenario you’ve been practicing for 10 years but took some time off for babies and to lateral.
Anyone know what compensation at the senior levels of an agency holding company (WPP, Publicis, Dentsu, etc) looks like? I know CEOs and direct reports earn millions but curious about 1-2 levels below that. Looking at a role where I would lead a global practice reporting to a C-level. I know what this pays in a consulting firm but agency comp is generally VERY low, so hard to gauge target ranges.

Seeking advice either from anyone already working for US GOV or any advice on how to get into it. I’m interested in working for IRS or Veterans with pm work. Any advice? I also want to help my dad get into a permanent GOV role before he needs to retire, he’s been rejected by gov roles and can only work travel roles with fema, I don’t want him traveling as he’s getting too old and I just lost my mom a year ago. Any help would be appreciated!
