Kellogg video essay. Woof
I’d highly recommend Ivy Advisors. I got into 2 HSW + another M7. They tailor to your specific needs and story (not cookie cutter advice like I’ve seen from others).
I worked with them too and I got into Wharton! They advice you on how to tailor your essays to match the school’s culture and they help you from essays to interviews
Highly recommend applicantlab to hone your story and tailor it for each school and essaysnark for essay reviews. They give it to you straight. I redid the essays I worked on with Fortuna based on essaysnark feedback, which were much more detailed and thoughtful. Got into wharton and 3 other M7.
I'd also be curious to hear how EssaySnark's strategy guides compare to ApplicantLab.

Yeah the person who did my consult was a huge turnoff. Unprepared and didn’t take it seriously.

Don’t do MBAmission. I can dm you the name of the consultant I worked with, he was terrible.
Why would you not want to make your review public but dms are fine?
Jennifer Jackson at Stratus. She is awesome. (Note: I used to work at stratus - so I don’t know her from the customer side but rather from the colleague side).
Replying to my own post (unless you are doing a weekend/part time program on R3 - those are usually ok to apply)
Mba prep school have been amazing to me. My consultant is always available for me, including at the last minute and has probably spent 50+ hours on the phone with me and has never made me feel bad or anything
Do you mind PM the name of the consultant? thx!
Mollie Wolin with Expartus was great!
Stratus overall. Sarah Tsai for Stacy Blackman. Agreed that SB consultants tend to be condescending, but Stacy was really helpful and was willing to help even if I only purchased an hour.
I meant Sarah*
Stacy Blackman! They will be harsh but you’re paying them to whip your application into shape. Worked with them and had great outcomes.
Square one prep
I’ve been working with a consultant through a friend’s reference and think it’s pretty helpful. He did a joint degree at HKS and Wharton and got accepted to several M7 when he was applying. While I’m still waiting for my application results (applied R2 this year) definitely think it’s a good alternative to those bigger platforms
