For me, it’s a day to reset both mentally and physically. Light workout then Church in the morning, tidy up the house, and meal prep for the week during the day. Traditional Sunday dinner with the family and wrap up by 6-7. Spend the evening goal planning for the week ahead and getting ahead on upcoming milestones. Bed by 9:30 for a 5:00 start.
Utilize Sunday to your advantage. While others are watching TV or lounging, use it as an opportunity to get ahead. Kick Monday into high gear and use it as your competitive advantage while others are recovering from the weekend. One day off is plenty!
Nobody in this thread has kids. I love going to work because it means someone else has to deal with the whining and bickering 9-5 m-f.
Smoke weed all day Sunday to keep from thinking of Monday, then another few puffs on the walk to the subway.
If you need to do that you might be in the wrong company.
I go for a massage every Sunday evening. I do this for the last four years and barely experience any stress.
Also, not giving a fck about my work makes me feel good on my way to the office. And yes, i still deliver good work.
That sounds assholey. Didn't mean it to come across that way.
Hold hands with my husband knowing we’ll barely see each other for the next 5 days 🤷♀️
My Sundays usually consist of making sure I’ve seen all the week’s episodes of the shows my colleagues will discuss over Monday morning bagels until around 11, at which point we do some cursory work before figuring out where we’re going to eat lunch.
I’m very happy at work.
Also very fat.

Damn, LCS 1 sounds like a nightmare.
Enjoy the day and don't think about work until the alarm goes off on Monday. It's easy to do. Set the tone, deliver, and don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks.
Use it as a chance to catch up/prepare for the week ahead: clean my apartment, water plants, respond to personal emails, call family, do laundry, spend time in the sun with friends, update electronics, write goals for the week
Wunderman 1 - parents get NO breaks, I’m in your boat
I set an alarm.
Church and a walk and phone call with someone I love to hear from (and usually a smoke). There’s always a chance to make each week better than the last.
One other thing- I always change sheets on Sundays so the bed is nice and fresh!
Wait if you don’t spend it preparing for the week (groceries, meal prep, errands etc) how...how do you have time to do people functions DURING the week ...?
So what do you fellow parents do? These routines sound heavenly but I will never, ever get to emulate any of them. Sundays are for chasing after kids and preventing catastrophe
Liking my job does the trick
Church and walking around somewhere after like farmer’s market or the mall. Meal prep with my fav music atm and then my fav: SKINCARE PAMPERING, masks, exfoliating, essential oils etc.
