Any one who sells you information on stock picks is going to be garbage.
If I knew great stock picks, I wouldn't be telling anyone. I would be buying it myself. With all my money.
If I was consistently good at picking stocks I would start my own ETF not a newsletter.

That's not how the stock market works. You don't have to tell anyone for the stock prices to rise. Public companies have to disclose financials quarterly to everyone.

I’ve been reading more and more in other financial forums about people refinancing into interest-only mortgages as a means of maximizing cash available for investment. Help me understand the argument for doing this? I’m starting to see it could make a lot of sense for people who 1) have a ton of equity and aren’t worried about the housing market flinching, 2) probably won’t keep their house forever, and 3) already have a high net worth. Thoughts?

At what number do you feel like you’re making enough whether to satisfy your desires or just not feel guilty about spending money.I’ve been blessed to have my income raised a total of 85% throughout 9 years but shortly after each raise I still feel like it’s not enough to live by and that I’m always behind. I live in a high cost area and make triple of what my friends make yet it still doesn’t feel enough. Cont’d

Where can I start learning about retirement in America? I’m naive on the topic and originally from another country so I need reliable learning resources. I’m 31 and don’t have anything yet, except 6months in emergency fund and I started traditional 401k a few months ago, but can’t max it out currently as I make less than $70k right and single, so I’m currently putting 6% on a targeted retirement age portfolio.

new to investing. have done some research - reading blogs and a few books on investing. Example, would you invest in VTSAX across a brokerage and roth account, or would you take a different approach for each account?

Do people tend to age out of wanting to FIRE?

In your 20s-30s, you don’t know much, you’re told what to do, you have few financial resources so you are tied to your job. Under these circumstances it makes perfect sense why you would want to FIRE asap.

But eventually you advance up the ladder, you are now the boss and your people do all the grunt work. You also have built up expertise which makes the job easier. And you are making the best money of your life. FIRE is no longer so pressing.
