Yoga has been a good balance for me both mentally and physically, really counteracts all my time spent sitting/lying down and calms my mind from the noise of everything going on. Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube is great.
If I’m feeling a little more upbeat, Popsugar Fitness has barre classes on YouTube, many of which don’t require any equipment.
Also throw in body weight exercises like squats and planks :)
Weekdays
- smoothies for breakfast
- light lunch (been eating canned tuna with avocado)
- afternoon snack
- then work out for at least 30 mins. Blogilates on YouTube has no equipment great workouts
Weekends: rest days as I keep myself busy with errands. I also have light meals throughout the day.
This. You can't out-exercise a bad diet.
Chloe ting workouts are free on YouTube
I love it! I did the 5 week summer shred and it was a noticeable difference!
I’m walking every morning for an hour with neighbors. Getting up earlier to move and starting the day with something in my control before hitting the desk has helped in many fronts.
I’ve lost 20lbs since beginning of March. I do intermittent fasting (basically skip breakfast - black coffee and water only) and eat a small meal around 12-1pm (fruit bowl or avocado toast). Eat dinner by 5 and close my window by 530. I have a peloton at home so try to do 45-1hr a day (45 min ride, 10 min arms toning typically). The motivation to work out isn’t always consistent I’ll be honest but knowing I’m limiting snacks and desert has helped me keep losing.. its
I just downloaded the Sweat app and signed up for a workout plan there. Day 1 was yesterday and I’m for sure feeling it today, but I’ve heard good things so I’m excited to see how this goes.
I love the sweat app!
You can't out-exercise a bad diet. Use your time at home to experiment with fun ways to cook vegetables or other healthy recipes. Spices are very underrated. This way when we go back to "normal" you already have the kinks worked out and can continue good habits ☺️. Good luck!
I got to the gym early (8 or 9 am) on weekends when no one is there. It’s only twice a week but I do all lower body and all upper body between the two days. Longer session but satisfying
Diet— I count my macros and currently on a cut to lose weight
Fitness— I use this app called Keelo. It provides daily workouts based on the equipment you have available. The movements of the workouts are similar to CrossFit. If that’s not your style, I really enjoyed doing YouTube workouts from MadFit. Her workouts are challenging and actually gives you a good workout!
I run 3-4 days a week and then have been using the peloton app for yoga/strength classes. I especially love the yoga classes and will turn the lights off and put on candles to relax and make myself feel like I’m at a class!
Check out Abby Pollock on YouTube (along with Blogilates from EY1). She recently ran two Made to Move It challenges (each a month long) that were focused on home workouts with minimal equipment to stay fit during the pandemic.
I try to get in a decent amount of steps per day (walking or running) and I’ve tried a few apps/zoom classes. I really like Le Sweat (1st week is free, then $12.99/month) which has a bunch of content & she’s really good about form/warm up to ensure you are being safe. Zoom classes have helped get me out of any motivation ruts since I pay for them so I keep myself accountable. I’m also debating trying either the Sweat app (she now has a zero equipment option if you need) or this instagram account, Bodies by Sav because I keep seeing it pop up and it seems fun
Get a Peloton
I do Pilates 2-3/week and TRX 1x/week at a local studio. I get the monthly membership so I’m motivated to take more classes to get my $$ worth lol. I’ve also downloaded the Sweat app (annual membership so ~$10/month) and find the BBG programs challenging but good. Also run at the gym treadmill 2x/week for about 3 miles each.
I use the fiton app for workouts. I bought a spiralizer a while back and I substitute all pasta with zuchinni noodles. For me eating lean helps me lose weight but everyone is different.
FitOn is also a great app!! Solid options/workouts and it’s free
I’ve been doing workout programs on team Beachbody
When I’m doing the workouts and eating right, I’ve trimmed down a bit and gives me a schedule to follow rather than if I did it on my own
That being said, it can be a bit pricey at times and it’s not for everyone but it’s been a fun way to get back in shape
You can do yoga .. get a pack of exercise from home in cure fit app. You will get to try hatha yoga power yoga and relax yoga. Once in a while there are special classes of yin yoga !!
