Has anyone in HR, HR Consulting, and HR Program Management successfully negotiated equity as part of your total rewards package and / or doubled your salary even though it was not initially offered to you? What tips, resources, and strategies helped? For those outside HR, what would help strengthen the case?

(For some reason HR Managers aren’t offered equity at same rate as other functions though the impact to the org is obvious IMO)

My manager casually threw out that she had an exec tell her it’s fine if she wants to close my division down next year. We are a niche team in a large company. I asked her to clarify as I am worried about my team (and me) she said we would be “well taken care of” as in receive severance…she was so casual about it and said she didn’t know what she would do - we’re performing well, but it’s a small market. What do I do? Warn my team? Look for jobs? I have been here for 20 years w/niche skills…

I have heard of number of layoffs happening in big tech. Should I consider making the jump?

Should I continue working toward getting my CPA? I’m a second year staff in audit and just finished my 3 busy season (1st one from internship) and am burned out. I know I don’t want to stay in audit nor do I want my next job to be anything primarily accounting related. I want to get into transaction advisory (or somewhere in the realm off M&A), FDD, or turnaround & restructuring.

How much does EY pays for it's experienced FDD associate in SaT practice at HCOL?

Been working in Big 4 FDD for a little under two years, interviewing past 2-3 months for FDD, strategy, and IB. Received an offer from a MM FDD group for a 25% pay bump, but mainly looking to pivot out as I’ve burned out of FDD and want to move into a more finance focused role. Currently moved into second rounds at a senior strategy role for a F500 and case study stage for two boutique IB’s.

Would it be dumb to turn down the guaranteed FDD role and see how the others turn out?

I hope our firm is careful in deciding comp in the next 2 weeks. It’s too easy to double one’s comp and turn to investment banking.

Got offered 83k to start as an analyst for Deloitte’s controllership advisory position. Coming from one year. Of audit experience from pwc. Should I accept this pay from Deloitte? I hear A1’s in pwc advisory make 84k and A2’s make 95k. I feel used and undersold.

Hi PwC FDD fishes! How often do you work weekends? How’s the work life balance in FDD. 60 hours during the week and less weekend work or? Currently a rising S1 at EY FAAS and I am considering PwC FDD; what level do I come in at if I were to apply?

How much travel is in EY FAAS core NYC? And if I am coming from a financial services background, can I get into FSO FAAS?

Any tips for dealing with stress related to feeling like I am not working late enough? I feel I'm often receiving rather ambiguous deadlines (i.e., let's have the report done by next Friday) and not ultimately sure if I am on track or not.
