Does anyone have to pay for LETRS training or any other professional development or does your district?

The district always.

like

District.

District always provides PD. If I wanted to do LETRS and they weren’t offering it, then I’d have to pay for it out of pocket but there are always classes offered through county.

Depends. The district will pay up to $150 for summer PD that they aren’t sponsoring. That includes travel and lodging (if applicable) as well as registration costs and college credit costs.

If the district is part of sponsoring it, registration is free. If it’s during the summer, you can also apply that $150 to college credit costs.

Anything beyond this comes from out of pocket.

My district is paying

Our district is paying for it (and forcing everyone to take it plus do the case studies).

We don’t have time either… admin doesn’t seem to understand that though lol. NC is a great place to live. We live in the western part of the state.

Our district has stopped paying for out of district PD of any type as of this year. So the only thing we get to learn for free is whatever they want to brainwash us with :)
