I’ve gone on some niche ones to promote my tech. I look at it as networking. Usually people with a halfway decent podcast have good networks themselves, and are interviewing others in the relevant space. Podcasts are a form of the new media, so it never hurts to do an episode and walk away with the connects.
I have done a number of them and most have been worth my time. When I first starting being asked, I accepted them all and some were a waste of time. I now ask a lot more questions, talk to the person I will be talking to and listen to previous podcasts to see if it feels like the right fit for me.
I have met some great people and connections doing this while also getting in plugs for the companies I have worked for.
I have, it was fun! Once recording began, it felt natural and exciting to be engaging with someone else about a certain issue or topic. The conversations we had were lively yet respectful. Plus, it was quite empowering to know that you are contributing your knowledge to something that thousands of people around the world will later hear
I was invited to a couple of podcasts. Having appeared in a podcast has opened many doors for me regarding networking opportunities and professional growth. I also feel like I have gained more self-confidence in presenting ideas while expanding my understanding of different industries.
Yes, I have experience appearing in a podcast. It was a unique and fun experience! The process itself can be a bit nerve-wracking because you only get one take for the most part and you want to make sure your words come out correctly and that you don't stumble over your thoughts. However, once you get into the flow of things it can be really enjoyable.
My experience appearing in a podcast was incredibly positive! It gave me the confidence and skillset needed for other speaking engagements and opened up opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise.
I have had the pleasure of appearing on a podcast before and can confidently say that it was an incredible experience. I talked about things that I am passionate about while also getting to ask questions and learn from their expertise. It was so much fun interacting with the other guests as well and hearing their perspectives on different topics.
