For me, political leaning is about how you see other people in the world. I couldn't date a person who was say, anti-abortion, anti-gun-regulation, or similar. Because while I can respect some beliefs other than my own and your right to have them, I am not going to spend my time with someone whose view of societal responsibility is fundamentally different to my own.
I don't care about the issues (abortion, guns, taxes, syria et al), but if someone doesn't believe in a technocratic elite of judicious and highly educated professionals with overlapping social circles making blanket decisions for our country and collaborating / cooperating across the G20 for security, stability, and economic / technological development then I'm not sure I could date them or even be in the same room as them tbh.
Lol depending on who it is he/she supports, it could be more than a political problem
Learn to be open minded. Your views are just that views. Problem with millennials is exactly this, "if they don't agree with me I #justcantevent " unless they are a member of the KKK it's probably a big deal.
Probably not a big deal*
