I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?
Does novartis paused hiring ? I have completed all my rounds and have been waiting for an offer to roll out. But the recruitment team is saying hiring is on hold as review meetings are going we don't know when they will start it. Does anyone know when will they resume hiring process again.

So I work in the Enterprise Risk and Controls as a manger and I can tell you it all depends on your portfolio of clients. I have 2 clients that just went public in the past year. One is a multi-national that has been public and private in the past but doesn’t have a good grasp on controls. The other is a smaller client but has had tons of turnover and which is challenging for different reasons. The market went crazy last year so people went public left and right and they weren’t even close to ready.
WLB is smoke and mirrors - there is just trade offs. Some weeks are good some are bad. I have a wife and kids and while I don’t normally have to grind late into the night there are weeks that I will push to get the deliverables out and other weeks it is more manageable. Long way of saying it just depends on the needs of the client and deadlines.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to write this out. This is very helpful - thank you.
I’m a Senior Associate in CRR. I’m always at 40 hours. Very rare I work late nights or weekends. I’ve done assessments, working on documents for new companies, and recommend solutions or controls. Each project is unique but PwC has a great environment.
Thank you so much for your response!
I also am an SA in CRR, though I am in Strat. Risk, and Compliance (SRC).
I usually keep at full loading (40 hours). I have hit 50 maybe twice this year, and it was largely self inflicted.
The work itself varies. Primarily assessment + recommendations so far. Full disclosure: I have been at the firm less than a year, so I am pulling from a small sample. I do really like my coworkers and have had pretty much 99% positive experiences so far.
Honestly, it probably does.
It's not a dumb question at all. I just honestly don't know.
FWIW, I applied to a different position than I ended up in, so I wouldn't stress it.
