Can anyone describe Amazon’s culture for an associate corporate counsel, based on team? I’ve read a number of comments on this app and across the internet about the company in general but the individuals never specify what team they’re referring to. I’ve heard from two corp counsel that AWS doesn’t have the best WLB but Prime Video does. I’d be interested to hear what this bowl has to add. The more data points I can gather before interviewing, the better.
What firms do higher variable comp? I’m familiar with A&M’s model, but curious if there are others. Figure if I’m busting it, might as well get compensated for it.
For a Mid-senior level associate lateraling out of a big market to a small-medium market, what is the best way to ask and receive info on partner compensation to compare long-term opportunities?
Fellow ACDs, I have a question. Since becoming an ACD, It feels a lot like project management and wrangling creatives to get their work done. I don’t remember being this dismissive of my projects as a Jr/Midlevel. I feel more like a creative babysitter that picks up scraps than it actually feels like improving the work. I try to talk to them/help manage their time but I feel like they inherently lack motivation. What is y’all’s experience as an ACD? Is this what it’s like usually?
What should I aim to ask for a Senior Consultant position at EY FSO performance improvement group? 2.5 YOE, CPA, HCOL
I have many options to consider but two options below are what I’m thinking of right now.
I want to see your thoughts on which one I should pick.
Job A: Project Engineer. 135K/yr base. 10% signing bonus.
Job B: Senior Project Manager. Contract. $60/hr standard. $90/hr overtime.

Hi everyone! Would you be able to share what your roles are and your compensation? I am looking to change careers and want to see which roles have a high earning potential. I want to explore more careers and at the same time try to maximize earnings. Thank you!
Lately, there has been a lot of “shopping around” by business units for the legal advice they want to hear. One has now gone over my head twice to the GC to get a legal “okay” that I advised against. “Tattling” on me first saying “no.” These power plays are really frustrating. We have a culture of “getting the client to YES,” but it’s hard for me to do that when I know the “yes” will bring certain liability to us. Is there an effective strategy to succeeding in this type of atmosphere?
I hear the interviews with Google are really tough, and full of brain teasers. Has anyone interviewed for an in house legal role in their legal department. If you interviewed, what was your experience like? Any tips?
Having somebody do a project when they want to work for you = a great idea
Having to do a project for a job you want = horse shit
I have a good relationship with my Practice Leader, and they’ve put me up for Partner this year (🤞). But I have a competing, higher-comp, offer for direct admit Partner at another, larger firm. Tbh, I’m thinking about it. Should I discuss with my Practice Leader?
I’m probably not going to use it for leverage, as I think that’d sour things, but want to make it known - if there any doubts - that I have options elsewhere. Should I leak it to a different Partner that I am considering this offer?
Laid off from my marketing manager role (specializing in global events and special projects) on June 27th as retaliation for calling out a leader to HR who wanted me to “resign” in mid July. Before I go the route of cashing out my retirement account just to make sure we don’t lose our apartment, anyone hiring for something as basic as a remote project coordinator role at least so I can keep bills paid and still have time for school?
Hi all! I posted here a couple months ago right after getting laid off. It’s been almost 3 months of applying, and no luck. I am starting to get worn out, and I feel the imposter syndrome creeping in. I feel like I need to revamp my resume again. Anyone interested in looking at it? I am looking for operations, project management, or program management roles.
Hello! Hope you’re all having an amazing day!
I’m looking for entry-level Project/Program Management roles.
My previous roles: Executive Administrative Coordinator & Executive Assistant
I would love: tips/advice, resources, similar openings at your company that I can apply to, referrals…etc anything to help me pivot.
Does anyone have insights into the current culture/wlb/career development at kearney in SEA?
Approached for an associate role but have only heard bad things (2years back). Does anyone know if things have improved?
Those that have been with the firm less than a year, did you get any VC or salary increase? (I am a senior in advisory) got a 1% salary increase and no VC- is that usually the case?

Dang. I am realizing, how important preparing my meals is to my well-being. Skipped a meal, because my principal came in during my prep. I should have still eaten. I was lagging the rest of the day. Also, so glad I have cold water dispenser in my class. It is a life-saver.
Was considering a few weeks in 🇹🇷 this summer... Events in 🇺🇦 have me reconsidering... Any pros/cons or other recommendations?
Is anyone else getting blown up with calls/emails/linkedin messages about a market research company looking to understand tax services? They are offering $300. If anyone has responded to them, I'd be interested in knowing if it is legit.
I don’t know my multiplication tables.
I’m 25 and have been working for the same bank for 2 years. Started as a call center agent and moved into a supervisor role. Love the company but the pay is barely enough, I work 8-10 hours of OT a week to make enough for rent and living costs in Toronto (would work more but there is an OT cap). Any leads on jobs I should look into? Would love to be making upwards of 75k ideally. I have a BA and have done some python and SQL courses

What’s the general consensus:
When a company throws up the exact same job post that has appeared before and is still live (and potentially even exists in multiples beyond just two), should this be taken as an indicator that there is more than one opportunity for a given role, or is this essentially the LinkedIn recruitment version of “bump?”
Any one in north Jersey (Bergen) interested in hitting some tennis? I am 26M but this ask is gender agnostic.. I am getting fat these days and would appreciate a work out buddy. :)

Additional Posts in Salaries In Sales
My company got bought out but kept most of the sales team on. Everything was pretty much the same for the first few months, but recently I've been seeing a shift in my responsibilities-doing customer service tasks and lots of little extras. How do I factor this in when asking for a raise in my review?
I was wondering how accurate indeed salary estimates are? I live in a LCOL area in PA, and the estimate for the company I’m interviewing with is 67k - 85k. They’re a relatively big tech company and I’m applying to be a Business Development Specialist. Thank you in advance!

Can someone tell me the salary i should negotiate for business operations program manager roles in a reputed company in Germany? Thanks 🙏
Apologizes if this is a dumb question: but do companies keep the same pay for every employee regardless of location?
For example: paying someone a base of 80k in Georgia vs paying someone 80k in California
or do they make exceptions when it comes to base salary on location?

Would you rather stay within your country HQ as AE or move to Spain HUB to take advantage of fiscal tax competitive pay? (Beckham law, 24% flat). The Spanish role is sales representative, instead the in country is AE. Not sure about salary difference; more or less: AE 90K, SR 55K.
Super curious to understand commission structures for those in tech solution sales. What’s your base comp? What % of GM hits your bottom line? I’m currently at 95k base, realizing 8% at an estimated 40% GM. Unsure if this is a competitive structure.
Hi! I m fairly new to the Sales part of the job although have 5 years experience in customer service. What would be a good Sales support salary? I seem to be doing everyone s work and but my base pay is extremely low and I have no commissions although I ve managed to work out a little over a quarter million pound profit for just my manager alone in this Q3.
