This might have been already asked so apologies in advance, but has anyone gone back to public/advisory from industry? I know there are a lot of boomerangs out there but I mean more specifically advisory or due diligence? Currently in Assurance and want to experience private industry as either a Senior Accountant or SEC reporting role but don’t want to shut myself from these other opportunities? Or should I persue advisory first and then private accounting if it doesn’t seem like a good fit?

Interested in getting some POVs on hosting etiquette. We have a couple coming to visit us probably for a 5 night stay. We live in Chicago and they’ve never been here before so we are all very excited. I know they are going to want to do a lot and dine out a lot as well. I’ve also suggested that we spend a couple night downtown. I plan to cook a fancy dinner for their first night, stock up on breakfast and their favorite foods as well as booze. When dining out and doing activities...cont below

Sorry for the naive question, but if you find an AD who will wait list you for a watch, do you pay up front or only when they get it in?
I just took a job in house at a start up, and 3 weeks later I’m a bit worried about the business. It doesn’t seem to be growing at the pace they pitched, I worry about their burn rate. I’m starting my own practice on the side to supplement my income just because if this goes to crap I don’t know what I’ll do.
Struggling with exit opportunities that excite me as a Big 4 Tax Manager since I don’t want to do public accounting anymore and want to pivot to a role that has tax/finance/sales/asset management/strategy combined or something of the sort. Anybody have any advice?
Wondering what to pay an intern, a 3L. She’s a certified legal intern. Per hour? Per project?

I am ready to start getting help. I’ve never gone to therapy or anything before. How do you know if you should see a psychologist or psychiatrist, etc.? I am unclear on where I should even start or what exactly I should be looking for when choosing.

At what level in B4 do you start having selling responsibilities / start having selling metrics as part of your review?
Got an offer at one of the MBB and in process for Accenture in their Strategy division (CEO & ES). For MBB, would be coming at a level below (PL/EM) with 1 year tenure and Accenture would be lateral (SM). Leaning towards the MBB offer as it has been my dream to get into MBB and the overall value proposition.
Is there any strong reason to prioritize Accenture Strategy over MBB in this case? Would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
