Does anyone here work in Wealth for TD? Trust advisors/wealth advisors/portfolio managers or even assistants in that space?? I have some questions about how TD manages their wealth gems but can’t seem to find the answers.

WFH has made me realise I loved agency culture more than that industry itself. What can a strategist do after leaving advertising? I adore creativity, the buzz of a team and thinking laterally as well as commercially. The pandemic has made me feel ambivalent about making ads though after ten years in.

I’ve been noticing resumes without a date for college graduation. But all the dates are there for jobs. So does it make sense to hide that one piece if I can do the math based on work history? 🤷‍♂️ And I’m over 40 and in this bowl. So I don’t care about age. Actually, I do. Because I prefer more experience than less.

Is it just me or with the rise of attacks on "essential workers", it's scary nowadays to work a public-facing job? I've seen so many videos of workers getting attacked for doing their job, some of them have even lost their lives.

My best friend took a year off work and just traveled around South America with just a backpack and duffle bag of essentials. He spent about $5 to $10 a night at local hostels and food costs cheaper at local restaurants and shops. He spent roughly $500 a month on room and board. Aside from activities like bungee jumping or live sports events, most of the other activities costs little to nothing. Debating on saving up and just escape for a bit just like that.

FAANG Exit to MBB?
3.5 YOE, Non-technical, 150k TC

Been at Alphabet my entire career post-undergrad. Managed to move from
Google to a well-respected Bet where I’m very happy. Undergrad was a pretty general liberal arts degree and haven’t pursued grad school yet.

What would it look like (from a TC + long term career standpoint) to switch over to MBB for a year or two then go back to FAANG?

Hi, I am selected for the Content Developer role in TechM, but they are just offering me a 30% hike and I even need to shift to Pune. Is it good or are there other ways to increase the offer? HR told me that this salary is auto generated from the system and can't be increased.

I'm thinking about starting something, but I want to be well versed in entrepreneurship before I do. Any recommended resources (websites, podcasts, books, etc.)? Thanks!

I started working for a solo-preneur (so it's just us two) last year and after several very open and honest conversations about workload capacity and boundaries re: my schedule, I don't think I can see myself here long-term. However, I feel really bad because of the timing (there would never be a good time for me to be replaced) and what I would be doing to the owner (pushing back their personal and company goals). Do any other "feelers" out there have any advice on how to approach this?

Anyone use Adri Miller!

After reading a few posts, I think Im in the category of being underpaid. I work directly with one advisor. Fully life and securities licensed with series 7. I’ve worked along side the FA for over 6 years now. I do everything from processing biz to handling clients. Other FA on our team come to me for help even though I don’t answer to them. The only thing I don’t do is bring on new clients. I get a base of $45k, 1099inc of 20k, plus about 7k that goes into a WL plan but counted a 1099 inc.
