About to go into my Amazon interview loop and I wanted to see if anyone could share what they felt they did successfully when they interviewed!! (the role is for an Ads Account Manager) I KNOWWWWW there are resources online, I’m aware, just want to hear from my fellow fishes here about what their experience was like :) No snotty comments please. 5 hours seems so intense but I’m excited! Sort of feels like a rite of passage in some way.

Does your employer have a social media or external communications policy?
Will you be talking about your personal and/or professional life?
Will you be disclosing your employer's name?
There is some risk because anything you write online has to be “on brand”.

I’d be weary of doing it if you think you’re gonna look for a job soon. A lot of people think it’s good to brand themselves on line but it can have a negative impact. I know some hiring managers who won’t consider someone with an online presence because a) they think they’ll spend time doing personal stuff vs their job and b) they just find it annoying. At an old company someone crushed their interviews and when the hiring manager found their LinkedIn they were like nah. Me personally I don’t care but just be aware a lot of people really have a problem with it. Could be management at your company, prospective employers, etc.
I agree it’s ridiculous (to an extent I get how some things could be a red flag) just sharing the experiences I’ve had.
I post to my personal blog occasionally - there are about 20 years of posts there. These days it's usually just photos of my needlework or book reviews, but there are some very opinionated posts if you go back far enough. I'm sure anyone could find something offensive if they look hard enough, but I don't think it is highly likely that anyone has that much patience. In any case, if someone wants to be offended, they'll find a reason. I don't worry about it much.
