Been looking into purchasing tBills on treasury direct. Near as I can tell they would currently pay ~3% for a 52 week term which is roughly .5 to 1 % more than a cd for equivalent term. So…why isn’t everyone buying these instead or CDs or Hysa? What am I missing?

Initial thought was to do all purchases and save cash or redirect to invest in the market. However, there is a lot of economic uncertainty so not sure if that's the way to go.

Some mortgage lenders require 6+ months of monthly reserves in order to approve your mortgage. Can I just get my sister to transfer money into my account and return to her upon loan approval? Will that one time payment disqualify me?

Is there a reason why we always focus on earned income tax rates as a means for generating tax revenue? Seems like instituting a minimum effective tax rate on corporate earnings or taxing capital gains as ordinary income would yield more tax revenue while providing the majority of Americans (and people on this app) with more after-tax income and the freedom to choose how to use it (spend, save, invest, etc.).

For folks applying for business school loans - which bank are you using?

Seeing 5.52% APR with 0 payments in school for borrowing $60K over 10 years (total cost: 92.1K) or over 5 years (5.40% APR, $80.1K total cost).
