Was told I would be receiving an offer letter after having a call this morning with a company I interviewed at but still haven’t received the letter yet. Is it typical to not receive an offer letter immediately after being told I’m being offered the job? If so about how long should I allow to receive it? Only reason I’m wondering is because I’d like to give my current employer plenty of notice before I leave (3 weeks if I can)

I graduated in May 2022. I have a public health and political science with a minor in computer science. I want a career in healthcare analytics and I have interviewed with BCBS of TX, Provista, Vizient, Medpace, and sent some applications to various hospitals in the Dallas area.I want somewhat of a hybrid role or remote.

I interviewed with the hiring manager on Monday and she really liked me and I liked her. On Tuesday I interviewed with the VP who is my bosses boss. That same day, I interviewed with the CMO. I was very tired at that point since it was 8:30 pm and then had been interviewing all day with this company and several others. The thing that threw me off was that the CMO seemed cold and she wouldn’t take off her her COVID mask. Not sure why since she was the only one in the room. Is this a red flag?

Hey folks, any thoughts when you finish last round of VO and haven't heard back from recruiter since then and still goes without update for more than a week (6 business days). As the HR didn't reply my email sent 4 days ago, I was wondering if I have to ask him again. This is indeed one of my most wanted job and I regarded my VO interview as a pretty successful one. Any experience when it takes a loooong time for the recruiter to get back to you after final round of interview?

What programming language(s) are best for interviews? Which should be avoided?

I've heard that any programming language will do, but I can't help to think that, say, trying to interview at Netflix with JavaScript may not go over well. I believe I also read a post from years ago mentioning the best language(s) to interview with at Apple, but don't remember if it still applies and which ones it referred to.

I'm currently on matleave in Canada (12 months). My kid is 7months and I am in the process of interviewing again. I do not mind going back to work earlier than expected. I've had a couple of interviews where I leave out that I'm on matleave. Should I mention that I'm currently not at work? I feel like people's attitude changes when I do mention that I am currently on leave.

Made it all the way to on-site interviews and lost the role to someone who was a better fit. Recruiter says that feedback was so good from the interviewers that another team wants to interview me for a new role. I’m starting back at round 1 with a 1-on-1 interview from a team member. Do I have a leg up because of past feedback or is it truly starting over?

Went out to a steakhouse last night. We ordered our meal and 10 minutes after we got our food and already started eating the waiter comes over and says he made a mistake and gave my husband a different more expensive steak ($100 difference). She was with the company for 3 weeks, today they called her and said they could no longer afford her salary and would be letting her go.
