I work for a company with a pretty generous PTO policy and a mostly remote flex policy (4 days a month in office if within 75 miles of the building). One thing I’m wondering if there is a way to help us I get the “I’m taking a mental health day” call out regularly which causes a strain on the rest of the team because we were unable to prepare like we would with pre-planned PTO. Any ideas of things I can do as a manager to encourage pre-planned PTO instead of these call outs?

Hi! Does anyone have any pet insurance recs? My dog is 3 yo, healthy, small chihuahua/Boston terrier mix. He’s had surgery on one of his legs and now has a plate in there that the doctors say might bother him when he gets older. But not an issue for the foreseeable future.
