First hand experience with this. Once he transfers to the university, leverage any career services portal. The university probably has better internship inroads. Also can more likely get class credit if he finds one through the university.
I worked other jobs and transferred to a university after my sophomore year. Got internships after transferring. Also a lot of internships aren’t available until junior/senior year as that’s what makes sense for recruiting pipelines. Had significantly more luck applying for/finding internships through the school as fewer people were aware of those resources. Made sure to get class credits for most of my internships and one actually paid pretty decently. BCG was luck and preparation.
I’d be happy to hire. Pm me.
