Do we get a response after an interview, even if we're not selected? As I am waiting for a response from OpenText . My interview was last week Thursday, and I have even sent a follow-up email on Monday. Still no response. Shall I consider that I am not selected and that I will not be informed as well?

Do some LinkedIn searches for the UK / global recruiting companies that have US based offices: they typically start up with some their own foreign nationals to get things going. As they scale they look to add local headcount: you have the right background they would be looking for to be trained up.
Do the research to make sure that actually train and develop you vs sink or swim (sadly that is commonplace).
If someone can make it 1+ year in 360 agency recruitment (you hire candidates and get new clients along the way), you can pretty much go internal or another agency easily as that is hard work, but lots of development!
LHi group is always looking for new graduates and/or motivated individuals without experience who want to break into recruitment. They have a great learning and development team. Have a look at their website wearelhi.com.

Staffing agencies are always a great way to gain experience and discipline and eventually build a path to corporate recruiting. Another route would be to join a company as a Talent Acquisition coordinated or assistant. Good luck!
Thank you!

Of course I am. Most definitely!
These are all great suggestions! I would also suggest applying for contract positions, as a lot of companies are willing to hire someone on a temp basis (with the goal in mind to eventually convert to full time) since it’s less risky than hiring someone without the experience in a full time role. If you know anyone in a recruiter role who could vouch for your skills being applicable in a recruiter capacity, that would be a huge plus, too!
